BonChon is a very popular asian style chicken wing franchise and I’m glad they open it locally. The restaurant has a spacious interior, the food is really delicious. I ordered 10 wings (half and half) Soy Garlic and Spicy. They are delicious! The Japchae is a bit salty but still tasty. Overall the chicken here is top 1 in Jacksonville!
I’ve dined in and gotten take out from here numerous times. The last 3 times the amount of food we got felt very skimpy. I kept coming back hoping it was a fluke, but after three times in a row it’s just not excusable. The bulgogi tacos had more lettuce than bulgogi, and the seasoned fries bag was 1/4 full and not at all seasoned. The flavor is always great, but not worth it for the price and portions. I’m hoping something changes, but going forward I’ll try the Durbin Park location in hopes that they have better portions.
One of the worse sandwiches I have ever had in my life!!! 3 small tenders with hardly any sauce and the bun was burnt black!!!! Frys where complete garbage. They charge you a " convenience fee " to order online. Never again!!!!!!!
My husband and I discovered this gem through an article that rated the top chain wing places and Bonchon definitely delivered. We had the chicken, wings, bulgogi fries, and the corn dog. Everything was delicious and the chicken/wings were the absolute best. I had the 5 drumsticks (3 Korean bbq and 2 spicy). They were flavorful and CRUNCHY. Yum! Inarra was our server and she was knowledgeable and attentive making recommendations and making sure we enjoyed everything.
A tasteless and expensive mistake. The chicken sandwich looked nothing like the pictures. I ordered the Classic Crispy, but it wasn’t crispy and had no flavor. The only good and tasty thing was the seasoned fries. The Chicken Katsu was also tasteless. We ordered the sauces on the side to taste the chicken, and it tasted like absolutely nothing. The place claims to have the best chicken who knows where, but definitely not here. We left feeling heavy and even got some stomach discomfort afterward. The only thing worth complimenting was the service, the guy working alone at the cashier and serving tables was very friendly.
