Excellent! Excellent in every way. I was told by the dealer of a couple of repairs that were needed. I wanted a second opinion and Auto Medix is where I got it. Now, I have to first mention that I’ve had this car for the past 11 years, so I believed what the dealer told me. I also had (foolishly) expected the dealer would have been thorough with the inspection, considering how much they charge for one. Anyway, there were a couple of rather critical things they completely missed. I know most folks post reviews about how they were saved from having to pay for extra and unnecessary repairs, however I really like this car and want to keep it running in top form for as long as I can. This is a story of being faced with repairs that I really wasn’t expecting - but had they not been discovered, the end result would be a catastrophic failure that would force me to abandon a vehicle that I truly enjoy. Thanks to Marc and Auto Medix, this did not happen. Upon return of the car, it felt exactly like it did the day I bought it 11 years ago - well, a bit better to be honest. Part of knowing a reliable and honest shop means understanding that sometimes bad news happens, and also knowing that you can have complete trust that whatever the problem is - it’ll be sorted. Marc knew exactly what the issues were and provided better, stronger, updated parts at very reasonable pricing. I was shown the failed parts at pickup with a full explanation of likely causes - was kept up to date on status regularly, and was never pressured on anything. If you are looking for a place to take your car - this is it. Also, some of the “work in progress photos” it was neat to see exactly what was being discussed…
Marc and his team have surpassed our expectations. My husband and I wouldn’t choose any other mechanics to work on our vehicles. We strongly support Automedix.
Exceptional service at AutoMedix by Marc and his staff. I called on Monday asking if they could take a look at my vehicle as autozone flagged I had a water pump failure in my 2019 VW GLI. I got a diagnostic and prognosis soon after arrival. Marc walked me through what was wrong and the steps to follow in order to fix the issues. The parts were ordered AND installed fast and I had my car back and running in only two days(impressive as most other shops i've been to have quoted me a week for similar repairs). Very resonable pricing and great service where I was updated along the whole process. I would not bother for the 1-star reviews written before about pricing, anywhere you go, the price is just about the same and anyone should be willing to pay for having the job done correctly. Full trust in this company, I will refer anyone to have there vehicle serviced here.
***I was told about $80 for the diagnostic and if it was just a simple flush and recharge it would be about $270/290 depending on the amount of refrigerant. He diagnosis jumped $200 without a phone call or "discussion". So, don't trust what he tells you on the phone. People like this will act like they are doing favors to justify their unscrupulous behaviors, he knew exactly what he was doing with his invoice manipulations, it was cold and calculated. My ac stopped blowing cold. I found this shop via BBB. I called and he said yeah sure and said he was familiar with my type of care, which was great. He stated usually it’s just a flush and recharge but…sometimes you find that the compressor goes bad. He kept saying, I can take a look at it and we’ll see, I’ll put the dye in and we’ll see, we’ll have a discussion. He said diagnosis price was $80-ish. I dropped it off and said that if a flush and recharge couldn't fix it, then it just wasn’t going to happen. Well, he did his dx and found that it had a leak. He noted a recommendation that it had a leak and needed $1800 of repairs to fix. This was what he labeled as a Diagnosis charge, where a leak was found. At this point is where one of his alleged discussions should have taken place. Because it was noted it needed more than just a flush and recharge to get my ac working properly but he proceeded to do an additional service in which he filled a system he determined was leaking with refrigerant fluid and so unscrupulously put it on the invoice as an ac system leak inspection but had already done that on the diagnosis charge. I would NOT have ok’d spending money to put refrigerant in my car just to leak out in a few days. When I questioned him on why he proceeded to put refrigerant in a system he determined was leaking, he answered my questions with questions at first and was double talking and then got defensive and no longer had a friendly demeanor, I left for my safety. Ironically, the total invoice for his overbilled charges came pretty close to what he said the total would have been for the diagnosis, flush and refill. Seems he was going get $300 out of me no matter what that day.
I highly recommend AutoMedix. Marc was able to fit me in the next day to get my brakes fixed. The brakes had been grinding for a week or two, then I had to go out of town unexpectedly. They were able to get the job done quickly and at a fair price. Thanks again for the fast service!
