I wanted to like this place because the self-pour concept is a cool idea and the location in downtown St. Augustine is hard to beat, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired. First, don’t be fooled by some online photos that make it look like there are rows and rows of taps. There are 24 taps with a mix of beers, ciders, IPAs, and other options. Not terrible, but not nearly as impressive as I expected plus the price/oz seemed a bit too much. The atmosphere was just okay. The place was nearly empty when I stopped in, and the food menu is about as generic as it gets, standard American bar food with nothing particularly memorable. The tables were noticeably sticky, which immediately gave the place a less-than-clean feeling. What really hurt the experience was the condition of the restroom. The bathroom was overflowing during my visit, which was pretty unpleasant and not something you’d expect from a place in such a prime tourist area. The one bright spot was the staff. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and courteous, and they were easily the best part of the visit. With so many great bars and restaurants within walking distance in downtown St. Augustine, this just wasn’t a place that stood out enough for me to want to return.
We tried this place over the weekend while visiting from out of town. It was a little pub type place and restaurant with a self-serve tap with a wide variety of flavors. The way the tables and layout of the area, which is not very big, was a little cramped but the place was very different. Food is typical bar food and was good. Several televisions for watching sports and they don't mind putting it on what you want to watch. They advertise outside as the "babysitter for husbands" which was pretty funny! I had a Junior cheeseburger and my husband had the Bacon Mushroom Swiss burger and it was huge!
If you are looking for a nice, fun place to gather with some friends or family, this is your place! 100% recommended! We pass by Auggies today and Stella was there!! 😁 We have so much fun playing the Stella game. The staff is very nice and friendly, the wings were really good and definitely will be going back the next time we are in town. Thank you so much! Customer Service was top notch.
As usual, we had a great experience! The burgers and cheeseburgers were absolutely delicious, and the fries were unlike anything else. They offer a wide variety of beers, and the atmosphere is fantastic with plenty of TVs to enjoy the game. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Everything we tried was amazing — I highly recommend this place to everyone!
I always love the self-serve tap rooms; they are such a neat idea. Auggie's has some great burgers and a lot of other food options to go along with the self serve tap wall. The bacon cheeseburger was great! Onion rings are also worth a try! It's in a great part of town too!
