DO NOT EVEN HAUL NON-BEER LOADS INTO HERE I hauled one load-to-scale beer load from Cartersville, GA brewery to here a few years ago and vowed to NEVER do that again. However, recently, I was contracted to pick up a 10,000 pound load of empty kegs going from SPLR-Gateway in Cartersville straight through to here. They did a switcharoo on me and loaded me with 20,000 pounds of black plastic pallets. This DOES affect fuel mileage--it dropped me about 0.5 MPG and puts more wear and tear on my equipment and of course the ratecon says I won't be compensated for any additional weight up to legal limit. When I got here to Jacksonville, they acted like they had never received a load of these black pallets before--the shipment number I had didn't work in their system and it took over 2.25 hours to figure out what door I should back into. It then took 2 hours to unload me so 4.25 hours and OF COURSE, it is AB-Inbev policy to NEVER pay detention. This is not surprising that a corporation that openly celebrates degeneracy would steal from hard-working Americans. AB-Inbev forever blacklisted by my carrier. Never again. Beyond my experience, I sat and waited in the guard shack for 2.25 hours so I heard other horror stories in that short time: Remember, they scale you in when I say this. A driver went to scale out and was 800 pounds over so he had to be reworked after waiting MANY hours to get loaded--how does that happen when they knew the truck's empty weight? There was another driver who had been there all day and finally got loaded. There was yet another driver who had been waiting all day to get loaded and had his load canceled. If you do not get paid by the hour by your company, NEVER come here. Small carriers, stay away from this place unless you have a driver that you're trying to get to quit.
shockingly good experience. pull up to the scales at check in, i did not slide tandems since i was fully loaded and it didn't seem to be an issue. check in at self service kiosk, guard told me to pull forward so she could remove my seal and check me load. they didn't have a door ready so i parked in front of the guard shack. got a door within 10 minutes. get to door, slide tandems back, chock wheel. plenty of space for maneuvering. yard jockey comes and locks your glad hand. he was not friendly but the guards were nice. unloaded in half an hour.
I come here all the time for a pickup live load. 2 hours early most times. Usually get a door right away. No more than 2 hours in a door. Not sure why so many negative reviews. My experiences are mostly good.
When you go to the drivers lounge and you see toothpaste, shaving cream and shampoo in the vending machine????? That’s when you know you’re in for a ride. 0730 appt, then said come back at 1500 since we’re overloaded 😵💫. Came back at 1530 and said come back at 1800. I screamed. Jacksonville already has limited parking. Convinced them to take me and they did. Gave me a door at 1700, didn’t feel anything until 2100. Finally got green at 2300. whole day gone.
No Overnight Parking. Mr.Fuel/One9 Limited Free Parking, $22 Paid Parking. Loves/12921 Duval Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218 6 miles away. Loves/400 Pecan Park Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218 7 miles away. Pilot 15 miles away. MAKE SURE TO HAVE 3/4 OR MORE REEFER FUEL AND A VEST! Once you pull up on scale you will get out and check in on kiosk, from there it will give you instructions on what to do. (Open up trailer doors before entering this place)I came here for a drop n hook, I dropped my trailer in the empty trailer lot, then you have to bobtail back to guard shack, get on scale, get out of your truck, and get scale weight on kiosk. Then make a little U-Turn back to entrance again, check in on kiosk, FOR ONLY BOBTAIL! Finally, you can go get your loaded trailer in the loaded lot. I didn’t find my load in the loaded lot, I found my load in the empty lot 😒 attached to my load, went back to guard shack, got on scale, went inside office for my bills, got my bills, I was out. The whole process here will have feeling a little dizzy, with all the back and forth.
