First time swimming here! It’s $8 for a vehicle (up to eight people), or $4 if you’re just one person. $2 for pedestrians and bicyclists. We had a lovely, warm, and sunny day. There’s plenty of parking, and it’s just a short walk to the beach from the parking lot. Plus, camping is available. We even spotted a couple of fawns and a little turtle on our way to the parking lot! Overall a great park with a nice beach for swimming.
A beautiful national park and beach that I couldn't stay away from, even when winter temperatures dropped. I swam, did yoga and ran barefoot on the sparkling white sand that was soft and clean. The beach is well taken care of with rescue helicopters flying over throughout the day to check on people. The idea of sharks in the water deterred me from going too far out. But swimming sideways in the same direction of surfers was an easier way to navigate the rolling waves and avoid sharks. If you book the camp ground, it's right by the beach and a favourite destination. There is do much to do and see in the town nearby, rent an electric bike and ride everywhere. People also paddled boarded, which is a fun alternative to surfing.
Naturally preserved state park staffed by friendly rangers with a long stretch of ocean frontage. There is a helpful elevated boardwalk access, plenty of parking, and restrooms. All located in the nearby vicinity of St. Augustine. Would choose first to visit again if we were remotely close.
Beautiful beach!!! There's a shower and bathrooms, but it's still so remote that I couldn't believe it. You can have your own piece of beach with no people around! There's so many birds, you can watch then eating or looking for food, it's so cute. visited with my husband and we played like children the whole afternoon. Big waves, so be mindful. We'll definitely coming back and we'll bring our kiddos!
Camped for a few nights here and was surprised how not crowded the beach was. I loved feeling like I had the beach all to myself at times! Word of the wise to tent campers, ALL sites in the "sea bean" loop flood when it rains!
