Incredible food! The falafel was the best I've ever had in this country, just like back home. Everything was perfect and the hot tea (free, of course) really made this the most perfect meal. The service was also great, very friendly. If you're looking for authentic ME or Syrian cuisine, look no further!
Dining at AL SHAMI was an outstanding experience and one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I've visited in Jacksonville. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with genuine hospitality and excellent service. The atmosphere was warm, clean, and inviting, making it a perfect place to enjoy an authentic meal. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The shawarma, hummus, and grilled meats were outstanding, with authentic Middle Eastern flavors that made every bite memorable. The portions were generous, and the quality of the ingredients was evident throughout the meal. What impressed me most was the authenticity of the cuisine. It truly felt like experiencing traditional Syrian and Mediterranean cooking without leaving Jacksonville. Overall, a hidden gem on Baymeadows outstanding food, excellent service, generous portions, and an authentic dining experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional Mediterranean cuisine.
I was craving grape leaves and Al Shami's hit the spot. We also had the hummus and beef shawarma w/ fries. All very good.
Amazing Middle Eastern food with generous portions! The grilled kebab, grilled chicken, hummus, baba ghanoush, tabbouleh, and sauces were all fresh and delicious. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back!
My husband comes here often and always brags about it. It only took one visit for me to understand why. The food was delicious and the ambiance felt very authentic. I loved it!
