I’m extremely disappointed with my experience today. I showed up for my scheduled counseling appointment, only to be met by a woman who seemed completely unaware of who I was supposed to see. When I gave her the name of my counselor, she told me that person wasn’t there. She ended up calling the counselor and then came back to inform me that someone at the front desk had said I canceled the appointment—something I absolutely did not do. On top of that, I received three email reminders and a text confirming my appointment, so there was clearly a mix-up on their end. I don’t live in the area, but this place came highly recommended, so I made the trip hoping for a meaningful session. Instead, I left frustrated, disappointed, and feeling like my time was completely disrespected. This was an important appointment for me, and the lack of organization and communication was unacceptable.
Takiyah is amazing - just the best person I could have connected with. I get focused constructive care from a wonderful human who genuinely cares about my well being. I have tools and resources to help on my journey and never have to sit in a waiting room. AAA+
I'm so thankful for my therapist, Takiyah Joseph! She's been wonderful and very helpful. She is relatable so it makes it to easy to be comfortable when discussing difficult topics and I don't feel like I'm being judged. I was hesitant to start therapy, but I'm glad I did because I have made amazing progress since working with her.
The initial process of getting started as far as insurance verification and getting established as a patient was such a smooth and easy process. I’ve only been working with Takiyah Joseph now for a month and have already made significant progress! She is and will be a huge part of my healing journey. I would recommend her to any of my family and friends.
Working with Takiyah has unlocked a phenomenal pool of wisdom within me. As a client, I feel heard and seen. I’m given the space to do the loving work I need (and want) to do. I’m tremendously grateful for the ease and support I receive from both Takiyah’s and Acknowledge U’s approach & practices!
