Passing through after our cruise, we talked about the exceptional level of service we experienced on the ship and how it would not be topped. Then we went for happy hour here on our two-day stay before heading back home. Executive Chef Yearwood, Sous Chef Jeff and the awesome Mixologist Candace made this such a memorable stay. The Hotel Indigo room was nice but service at the 98 Forty East bar was the highlight of our stay. The drinks, the food and the music was the best! We caught happy hour where all drinks and appetizers were half off. We were impressed by the elevated bar food. We laughed, drank, and sang to all the jams - a time was had. We will stop by here whenever we go through Jacksonville for sure.
If you havent went you are missing out !!! Check it out!!! I have had the pleasure to go to this place with my family and friends (table of 7). We sat outside with a very beautiful, scenic view of a pond, and its beautiful nature. We were greeted by executive Chef stephen. He was amazing, made the atmosphere very hospitable and personable. We had the best experience! The other chef that was whipping it up in the kitchen was chef Joe and he too was very pleasant. The menu is off the chain and was made by executive Chef Steven. We got a little bit of everything. But i got the NY Strip Steak and it was the best steak I've ever had!!! One thing that reallystood out to me about executive chef Steven, was that he said he makes all of his dishes with love and that made it all the more better. Thank you Chefs!!
After a long day of traveling, my husband, our Golden Retriever and I had a delicious and delightful steak dinner here. The service was particularly great, as were the Manhattans! Kim, the bartender, deserves all the credit. Would highly recommend! Incidentally, the outside patio has a lovely view of the lake and the inside dining room is really inviting also.
Kymmie provided outstanding service! Food was wonderful and the restaurant was nice and quiet…just the way I like it. Love supporting local restaurants! We will be back! Looking forward to trying the fish tacos.
We stayed at Hotel Indigo for our wedding weekend. The server in the evening from the first night was so nice! I can't remember her name but she was originally from Georgia. My family and I really enjoyed her. The food was good too! Unfortunately though, one morning at breakfast, I asked one of the servers if I could order breakfast and take it outside and she gave this attitude/look as it was an inconvenience. So I thought maybe breakfast had ended and I wouldn't want to order last minute so I asked her if breakfast was over and she just said no, again with attitude, so I just said I'd go somewhere else, because why would I even want to be served by someone if I felt uncomfortable. I went to sit on the chairs by the door and waited for my friends and I could overhear her talking to another GUEST sitting at the bar saying "She just needs to get out of her feelings, I would have served her breakfast outside". I couldn't believe it. When my friends came down, they said she had attitude when they ordered breakfast that morning too. So maybe she doesn't like her job, or maybe that's how she is but it unfortunately left a bad taste in my mouth. Very unprofessional! Other than that, the restaurant has beautiful views and it's cozy outside. Would definitely recommend - maybe not in the morning
