I am Latina and Hispanic, and I am treated with so much respect at this place. My doctor is absolutely spectacular. The girls at the front desk are wonderful, gentle, and respectful. The assistant who asked me questions and took my blood pressure was kind and lovely as well. Everyone is full of smiles and kind words. As a Latina and Hispanic woman, it is very important to feel at home, and this place truly makes me feel that way. I love this place and highly recommend it.
I've been going to the Women's Care for over 30 years. Every OBG-YN doctor that I've had over the years have been so caring and you can tell that they are there for their patients and love what they do. The nurses on staff are wonderful, respectful, and they too are very caring and can tell that they love being there. It's hard not to be bias, but Dr. Vanbennekom and his staff are the BEST!
My experience with Women’s Care started off wonderfully. Each and every single doctor I rotated through were wonderful. However dealing with the office staff was a nightmare. Most of them are rude and unprofessional. During the third trimester of my pregnancy I had to switch insurances. After receiving verbal confirmation on two different occasions, that my insurance was accepted at their facility and that I would still be cared for after switching insurances I was dropped as a patient at 31 weeks pregnant with complications. I was dropped even after (for a third time) being reassured everything was taken being care of and that I would be taken care of. The issue was going to be fixed. Once we figured out that I was not going to be taken care of I had to switch to OBGYN Associates of St. Augustine (AMAZING, I continue to see them). Women’s Care made the switch extremely difficult. After calling multiple times to have my records faxed to OBGYN Associates, they would either refuse or purposely send the wrong information. OBGYN Associates began calling them as well for my records with no avail. We eventually had to go to the office in person, and sit for 2 hours to get my records. This is the care that Women’s Care deems acceptable and appropriate for high risk patients. The administrative staff and billing department are a bunch of vile “human” beings. They are extremely condescending and petty. There have been multiple occasions I have sat in the waiting room and listened to them belittle other patients over payments and insurance issues. They have no idea how to treat people with an ounce of respect. They purposely talk louder, and intentionally try to embarrass every single patient they possibly can. The lack of empathy and compassion for pregnant patients/people is downright disgusting. I have never been treated worse by a staff than I was at this practice. I would give zero stars if I could.
I had such an amazing experience with this OBGYN office throughout my pregnancy. Everyone was so caring, supportive, and always made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. They truly went above and beyond for me every step of the way. Special shoutout to Ibree for being so kind, professional, and helpful! You can tell she genuinely cares about the patients and staff. Also, Keisha, Kaysie and Zach were beyond amazing at check in! I’m so thankful for the wonderful care I received here and highly recommend this office!
I switched to Women’s Care Baptist South suite 311 when my husband and I started to get serious about family planning. I’m 7 months pregnant now and could not be more pleased by the prenatal care I’ve received here. Each visit, I am treated like a VIP by Keisha and Ibree at the front desk, Sabrina and Shannon in administration, nurses (all of them, but namely Brittany), and all of the providers I’ve had the pleasure of meeting (Dr. New, Dr. O’Brien, Dr. Levy, Dr. Melansen, Anna, and Tyra). I’m grateful for the relationships I’ve built with the members of this team. I am confident that my health is in great hands and every visit is made comfortable by the kindness and respect everyone treats me with. I’d recommend them to anyone!
