Wolfson Children's Emergency Room - Oakleaf

My daughter came into this ER Wednesday 6/11 with painful urination, protruding stomach, pain to walk and hunched over with pain throughout her whole body with difficulty walking. The ER doctor on call dismissed her with Acute Viral Syndrome. Only tested her for strep. Said they could test her for Covid or the flu but we would just have to wait longer. There was no one there in the waiting rooms but us, so they were not even stretched thin. The next night we went back hoping for a new doctor because her symptoms worsened and she developed a huge rash on her back. The doctor on call for that day must of just read her chart and dismissed us with the same diagnosis. Said to just WAIT IT OUT. Took her to Wolfsons downtown on Friday, she had such a horrible UTI, that they said if we had waited just another day or two it would have reached her KIDNEYS. This location absolutely does not care at all about your kids. All it took for the downtown location was a sonogram and X-ray which the oakleaf location could have easily done, and none of my daughters symptoms was even remotely close to anything “viral”. Will never go back.

Yesterday I was in ER with my son. He has a stomach ache. We were there around 12PM, and the doctor was the worse person I ever saw. First she gave us wrong information about his condition, than I tried to explain her that my son is allergic to amoxicillin, but she didn’t want to talk with me, or listen to me. Her face expression was terrible to me. I don’t know why,(maybe because I’m not American, maybe different color) but believe me in the end I will just say God see everyone and everything and I hope she gets what she deserves.

My 2 year old was having an allergic Reaction, all rooms were full. They had us sitting in the hallway on a bed waiting for a nurse. We sat there for a whole hour and the hives continued to appear on him as we waited, couldn't even get a antihistamine/benadryl. Never going there again.

Tonight was my first time taking my toddler here with a 103.8 fever eyes rolling to the back of his head barley can stay up … The check in lady gave me a hard time just to check in. Many people came in behind me BEHIND ME. As I finally set down I seen the nurses come out and call EVERYONE name behind me to the back and here I am stressed out with a very sick two year old. I finally got up and ask the lady up front does she know the wait time she said she couldn’t give a wait time BUT the longest has been an hour & she “ has 38 people there” . I LEFT there is no way I come to a children hospital and you clearly see my baby is more then sick. They REALLY need to get it together this was so unacceptable! I had to leave and rush to orange park emergency and of course orange park took my baby RIGHT AWAY after the fast check in!!! Now my little one is feeling better! UNTIL THIS PLACE GET IT TOGETHER I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO MAKE THIS THERE 1st STOP!!!!! I only gave a one star because I had to.
