Looking for lunch Saturday and found Willie Jewels BBQ. Sat at the bar and ordered the 2 meat lunch with turkey and brisket, green beans and Collard greens and sweet tea. The Turkey was good with the right amount of smoke flavor. The brisket was perfect, wonderful flavor and just perfectly tender. The green beans and collards were good. The staff was polite with pleasant attitudes. The food came promptly. And the prices were pretty standard. I was pleased with the choice to go there and would definitely go again.
I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Willie Jewell’s Old School Bar-B-Q in St. Augustine! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome with genuine Southern hospitality. The service was friendly, attentive, and fast, making the entire dining experience enjoyable from start to finish. The food was outstanding. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. You can truly taste the care and quality that goes into their barbecue. The meats were tender and smoky, the sides were delicious, and every bite had that authentic old-school BBQ flavor that keeps you coming back for more. If you’re looking for great food, excellent service, and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, Willie Jewell’s is a must-visit. It’s easy to see why this place has become a local favorite. The people are so very nice here. It really makes a difference going somewhere people are friendly. The ribs and brisket were very good. Had plenty to take back home with us. The Brunswick stew tasted good but it was more watery for my taste. I really loved the atmosphere of this place. I am not sure if all the locations are the same but it was very nice. Even the bathroom wallpaper was humerous.
We had cheeseburgers with fries and fried okra then shared a peach cobbler with ice cream. Server was friendly and knowlegeable and the food was fresh and cooked perfectly. I doubt you will find this quantity and quality of food for a better price. I also enjoyed their Pino Grigio, high quality 'copa vino', it was delicious.
