  Very shady business practices. My mom set up policies back in the 80's that were supposed to be whole life policies. She had disability insurance that was supposed to be paying for her policy when she became disabled. Now, they are saying she owes for her policy and they reduced her policy by $30k. We set up an appt with a rep to come out last week to get it fixed, they never showed up and had not recollection of setting up the appt. My mother left a message yesterday and no one has called her back. I would not recommend using this company for your insurance needs. ***She spoke with a rep and the Manager at the local branch and they advised her that her new rate is more than 4 times that of her previous rate and that she if did not pay the new rate her policy was gone. So she told them to cancel as she is disabled on a fixed income and paying the new rate would not be possible. So the insurance she has had for 40 years is now gone. Way to take care of your customers! I encourage anyone who has a policy with western southern to pull it out immediately and be sure it does not say Capital Life or Universal Life on it. If it does, get rid of it immediately as this will also be happening to you. The only reason my mother just found out is because she is getting older, my sister and I are canceling our policies immediately before the same thing happens.
