Our experience with this Vrbo/Vtrips managed by Silver Sand Vacation Rentals was, to say the least, extremely disappointing and far below professional standards. Upon arrival at the scheduled check-in time, the home was not ready. We were left waiting outside the property — including my 87-year-old grandmother — while the cleaning and maintenance issues were addressed. This was not a brief delay; it was a disorganized situation that should have been resolved well before guests arrived. When we were finally able to enter, it was evident the property had not been properly prepared. The floors had not been swept or mopped, and the mop itself was left sitting in the kitchen sink. The home did not reflect even basic turnover standards. Additionally, the washer and dryer were unplugged and sitting in the hallway. We were informed by maintenance that there had been a leak, yet it had not been repaired prior to our arrival. This meant not only an inconvenience but also a clear lapse in communication and operational readiness. What was most concerning was the lack of coordination. We had to wait for maintenance to finish and then again for housekeeping to return and complete the cleaning. The entire process felt reactive rather than managed. As guests paying for a professional vacation rental experience, we should never have been placed in the position of waiting outside a property past check-in time while essential tasks were being completed. We have stayed with many vacation rental companies over the years and have never encountered this level of disorganization. At a minimum, guests expect cleanliness, functionality, and preparedness at the agreed check-in time. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those fundamental expectations. We sincerely hope Silver Sand Vacation Rentals and Vrbo take this feedback seriously and implement stronger quality control measures to prevent future guests from experiencing similar issues.
Booked our Ponte Vedra vacation home via Delta Stays, but everything was managed by VTrips. The management team was easy to contact, answered all of our questions, and even followed up with us to make sure everything was going smoothly. The home we rented was BEAUTIFUL! We walked out the back door, down the sturdy board walk, and we were on the beach. No shoes required. If you enjoy serenity, quiet, or hunting for shells and shark teeth, you'll be in heaven. The home was well kept, well furnished, and clean. Everything we needed to cook our own meals, comfy beds, directions on how to use the home's amenities, and we were able to get an early check in and check out for an additional fee. They even had a basket of beach towels available! Being able to park in a designated spot in the garage was a huge bonus. We definitely plan to return! To the owners, thank you so much for sharing your home with our family.
We had the BEST stay at this condo on Treasure Island and can’t recommend it enough! It was incredibly kid-friendly—yard games kept everyone entertained, and the multiple pools were perfect for relaxing and playing. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, which made it feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The location truly can’t be beat—this is the closest access to the beach on Treasure Island, making it so easy to go back and forth throughout the day. The staff absolutely made the experience even better—Alli and Bobby were amazing, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. And the café… SO good. Honestly, the food was so delicious we never even felt the need to leave the property! We will definitely be back and HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly beach getaway.
My husband and I rented a house advertised on VRBO managed by VTrips in St. Augustine, Florida from 4/19/26 to 4/24/26. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and his completion of a long and difficult chemotherapy regimen. When we arrived, we noticed several things in poor repair: 1. All 3 windows facing the ocean were broken and unusable. You could not open them and enjoy a nice breeze. 2. The property via VTrips was advertised as "beach view" and "full view." The beach was not viewable as dense foliage and high sand dunes blocked all view except a small strip of ocean you could barely see if you stood up on the deck of the rental. 3. They had a sleeper sofa that we intended to use, but there were no linens available for the sofa. We looked everywhere and could not find sheets for the sleeper sofa. 4. Half the pillows on the main bed had no pillow cases. 5. The main bed frame was damaged. Each time we sat on the bed, the metal underneath shifted and squealed. No box spring, only a mattress on top of an unstable metal bedframe. 6. The smart TV was not functioning. We slept on the floor for 2 nights and then decided to drive home, exhausted from no sleep. VTrips in St. Augustine was notified and they stated they would drive out next day to assess repairs for the TV and bed. The property manager arrived 24 hours after my initial complaint, by then we were headed home. They refused to refund me for the 3 nights we did not use. I found them unhelpful and basically blaming us for leaving early. Who wants to deal with rental repairs during vacation? This property company for VRBO called VTrips should be ashamed for renting a property in this condition. Beware of properties hosted by VTrips!
We stayed at Ocean Sands North Building Condo 1204 in Madeira Beach Florida on the first two weeks of May 2023. Everything went smoothly with the owner and using VTrips they were very organized. There is a minimum stay of 14 days. The Condo unit is a studio which was in great shape, because new owners recently took it over and redid the whole inside. It was freshly painted had its own washer and dryer in the unit and a new bed. The Condo has its own balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico with a great view of the sunsets. The overall maintenance of the building was great, it looked like it was recently painted and they seemed to always be cleaning it during the day and also checking the pool and spa water. There is a deck at the front of the building with a Tiki hut which you can BBQ at, it also has a shuffleboard that can be used. The building is located 1.8 miles North of John's Pass and it has several restaurants' and bars all within walking distance of the Condo. We had a great stay and highly recommend this Condo unit. We have been going to Madeira Beach since 2014 and it was the best Condo unit we stayed in yet.
