Vijapura Psychiatry

I've never met Dr. Vijapura, I only worked with Stormy Hayes who was helpful albeit under-supported and under-empowered to actually provide adequate care. I had to frequently bring in my own research and second opinions from other professionals from my medical team in order to get any progress on testing or diagnoses. I complained for over a year about stress and anxiety with little to no actual medical effort to provide treatment beyond "holistic" methods and basic treatments that had been tried in the past multiple times, and in which I stated I did not want to try again. Due to this, and despite improvements on communicating with family and handling issues, facilitated by other therapy professionals outside this facility. During a moment in which I was confronting family and setting boundaries. My family, who are known to be abusive, manipulative, and who I have requested to not have any medical influence or control over my healthcare were able to contact Dr. Vijapura, who without consulting the nurse practitioner who had been working with me, ordered that I'd be Baker Acted, which was documented by family and the hospital. He later tried to deny that he placed the order. I will be contacting a lawyer about this, if not reporting this to the appropriate medical watchdogs, I do not recommend anyone using this facility. My family situation is further exacerbated, I'm now suddenly left with no resources nor treatment plan due to the stated and documented failure of Dr. Vijapura to do his due diligence as a medical professional, and I'm now further financially strained with unexpected medical bills from having to be forced to "voluntarily" go to the ER to confirm I was not a danger to myself, despite showing no real evidence of being a threat. This group is a real danger to Floridians as they prioritize profit and image over their patients, while doing less than the bare minimum to treat said patients. I will not be surprised if this facility is part of the growing racket of medical professionals falsely imprisoning at risk individuals to take advantage of Medicare relief and mental health funding that comes with housing and treating these individuals. I came close to losing my freedom, my business, and my actual support system because of the negligence of this group. Please avoid at all cost.

I am a second generation patient. I've always gotten premium care and trustworthy service from Dr vijapura and his associates. My psychiatrist Anna Partin in particular is cheerful and caring. Always considerate of my position and problems she encourages me to face my issues without pushing passed my boundaries. Words fail to fully express just how grateful I am to have her as my doctor. If you are looking for trustworthy and worth every single cent spent look no further than Vijapura Psychiatry.

Dr V and team are amazing people who really care for a persons mental health issues. He takes his time and listens to you and provide the correct medicine that you need. And on a side note, when you need to reach them and it’s not the day of your appointment or during the week and you have a general question, you can use the app called Spruce, which sends a message to the office. Carla, Who receives the messages is absolutely amazing. She gets right back to you. She sends the message to the doctor. She then provides feedback and checks up on you multiple times she goes above and beyond something you don’t see these days.. she really cares for her patients and is so kind and prompt and reaches out to you to make sure you are OK and satisfied. Carla is one of a kind I love going there just so I can chat with her through Spruce. She makes me feel like a real person and not just a number .. Way to go Carla!!!. I appreciate what you do. !!!! You are wonderful and you have made my day many times!!!!! I highly recommend this practice! The entire staff are amazing

I LOVE THE VIJAPURA OFFICE AND ITS STAFF. I went from having a different psychiatrist/office who just blindly threw meds at me to really being heard and supported! I love how the staff really asks questions and pieces together habits that may not be obvious to the patient. If there are admin issues, the front office is super kind and has great patient communication. I hope to continue my wellness journey with Vijapura for years to come.
