Lucky for me… I stumbled on Uptown Scratch Kitchen (food truck) on my way into St Augustine. It was lunchtime and I wanted to get a cup of coffee and some healthy food before entering town. Google directed me to The Munch, an area with a couple of food and drink trucks. I discovered The Uptown Scratch offered some amazing salad options (including a variety of protein add ons) as well as other non salad choices. The salad I got was very good. Also, the vibe of The Munch is amazing, Open air seating with umbrellas to shade you from the sun and a view of a couple of marinas and waterways. Very relaxing! Also!! If folks you are traveling with want some other food options then check out the other food trucks, they often many options.
I was disappointed with my experience at Uptown Scratch Kitchen Food Truck. I ordered the jerk chicken sandwich, but it was nothing like jerk chicken. Instead of traditional jerk chicken, it was pulled chicken with very little flavor, barely any sauce, and it was extremely dry and cold. I ended up not eating it. I also tried the Yard Pimp sandwich. The flavor was better, but the chicken was still covered in hot oil, and it actually burned my hand while eating it. It felt like the food wasn’t properly prepared before being served. Overall, I think this food truck has potential, but there are some major issues with food preparation, consistency, and quality control that need to be addressed. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations, and I hope improvements are made in the future.
Very good food. The grilled shrimp were very juicy and amazing flavor. The fries were hand cut and very delicious. Will eat there again on our way through St. Augustine.
Quick shoutout to Uptown Scratch Kitchen at Marina Munch, that was the perfect choice today! Juicy, Plump & Delicious lightly blackened shrimp with rosemary garlic fries and their incredible side salad! All of the dressings and sauces that came with it are to die for as well! So delicious, will definitely make this a regular lunch thing. Thank you! Very Satisfied! 😎🙏😋
Me and my husband stopped and got the garlic fries. They are homestyle fries, fried crispy with fried garlic bulbs, and Rosemary. They are absolutely delicious and the location is beautiful. I’m so glad we stopped here!
