First time visiting this church. It was a great experience all the people we met were friendly and welcoming. The minister, Marcia was very warm and loving in a motherly way. Her sermon was about "Just for Today" which I though applied to everyday life and how to walk in faith when we hit life's low times taking just one moment of one day at a time. Good stuff.
Attended a service recently. I’m not a regular churchgoer, but was seeking community and healing after a week marked by two mass shootings. No mention was made of these terrible tragedies, and the service was basically waxing poetic about American Exceptionalism and how we should all be so proud to live in a wonderful, free country. Totally bizarre. Will not return.
Beautiful facilities- friends and I went to an evening event at this facility to see a well known author speak. Unfortunately the staff were not friendly and more than once reprimanded ticket holders for talking to one another. These folks were not disturbing anyone and the fuss the staff made was nothing short of rude to those who had paid to be there that night. They literally stood around the perimeter of the audience looking for anyone talking. The speaker himself was upset by their odd behavior. Its unlikely we will go there again and doubtful the author will return either. Pity.
I’ve had wonderful experiences at Unity of Jax. I first attended a course in miracles with Eddie Lee. He has a gift for sharing his message in a way that easy to understand and receive. I’ve visited a few times and have rented the event hall. The venue space is beautiful and has a private entrance. The kitchen has two stoves, two microwaves, two fridges, and two dishwashers. It’s convenient to memorial park and five points. Stop by and meet Angie in the front office. She is a true God send 😇. I plan to visit for Tai chi with Eric Hunt and Sunday service with Minister Marcia Brown.
I go to AA meetings there on Mondays and Fridays and that is the extent of the experience I have with the church. The seems to be all-inclusive and LGBT+ friendly
