It has a nice layout. After that the course is in horrible shape . When you get to holes 3,4,5,6 you don't know what flag your hitting to. Most tee boxes are really rough. And the greens are practically nonexistent. More like putting on cracked dry dirt. I feel the place need a complete make over . Should be more like $10 to play. Not $22 I hope it will get better down the road.
As a first-time golfer, stepping onto the grounds of the UNF Golf Complex was an initially intimidating experience. Despite being a novice, the welcoming atmosphere made me feel at ease and ready to get my Tiger Woods on. 🙃 There was an older senior female there (we cannot remember her name) handling the register and she was very kind and quite witty. lol The facility has a nice layout with players of all skill levels and all were so willing to offer their expertise to improve my game. We hit balls at the driving range which provided ample space to practice swings with both covered and uncovered options. Also, the pro shop had light refreshments and the clubhouse was certainly a casual lounge area with patio style seating. The best part about this location is its affordability. $10 for 100 balls, YES PLEASE! When you're a beginner one needs a cost effective method to practice until instructor ready. This location meets both of those needs. Can't wait to return!
Every single tee box is destroyed or covered in sand. Every green is patchy, rocky, and borderline unplayable. 2 stars because I want to have hope it will get better but charging full price while the course looks like this is unforgivable. Do better.
Went today for the first time since playing the old 4 hole course in college. Range is mats only, 9 hole course is in shambles and that’s putting it nicely. Grass was barely existent, greens were mostly dirt, and tee boxes were make-shift- whenever they could fit them. Not one golf ball washer and only saw one trash can on the course. Everywhere was dirty, beer cans all over the place. This place isn’t kept up and it’s sad to see what it’s come to from what it was. Definitely not worth the price IMO, you can play $9 holes better almost anywhere in Jax for this price.
This course has come a long way on there maintenance greens and fairways and they are still striving to make it better. Beautiful course to walk and play, wonderful staff and the range is really nice with fans and a cover from the sun. 10/10 would recommend if your looking for a nice well kept course in Jacksonville
