UF Health Urgent Care - Wildlight

I can't recommend UF Health Urgent Care Wildlight enough! From the moment I walked in, the staff was kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about my needs. After suffering for weeks without any answers, Nurse Practitioner Amaya McCarthy took the time to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and share her expertise. She didn't just treat my symptoms—she took my concerns seriously and took action to find answers. I left feeling heard and hopeful. The facility is beautiful, clean, and state-of-the-art. I have ALWAYS had a positive experience at this location. Exceptional care from an exceptional team!

I had a great experience at Wildlight Urgent Care thanks to Eileen! From the moment I walked in, she was professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful. She handled everything efficiently while still making me feel comfortable and cared for, even during a busy time. It’s clear she truly cares about patients and takes pride in her work. Staff like Eileen make a huge difference—thank you for going above and beyond!

This is my second time here but the APP today was very dismissive. The APP walked into the room, did not introduce himself, asked me what brought me in, keep in mind the nurse types this up! I explain what is going on and he was like well I can only so this and this. No empathy.. No customer service at all! Horrible bedside manner!! As a patient we should never have to experience this when we come for care!!

I am incredibly disappointed with my local urgent care, a place my family has trusted since both of my daughters were born. Today, I arrived about 10 minutes before closing with my screaming baby because I was worried she might have croup. As a scared and concerned mom, I simply wanted her to be evaluated before making the decision to take her to the ER. Instead, I was told they don’t do X-rays and that I needed to go to the emergency room. I explained that I understood, but asked if they could at least evaluate her first. They declined. It was incredibly upsetting to feel like we were turned away simply because they were close to closing time, even though the office was still open. I understand that not every condition can be treated at an urgent care, but I expected my child to at least receive a basic assessment before being referred elsewhere. This experience was heartbreaking, especially from a clinic that has always been our first choice whenever my children or I have been sick. I truly expected more compassion for a worried parent and a sick baby.
