I've been to this emergency room twice now. And hands down the worst emergency room I've ever been to my life. The lack of professionalism that the nurses hold in this facility is unreal. Smart mouth, act like they're better than everybody, constantly making condescending remarks, and not just one or two nurses it's multiple. Don't get me wrong, there are some nice people, not very many at all but some. Only thing they care about is punching in punching out and going home. Why did you ever get into the health care field if you're just a piece of s*** towards people
Listen to my parents have used this hospital and I have to say that I as well as they are quite satisfied with the care they received. 99% of the people were friendly and professional. The rooms are quite spacious nice modern decor any good location towards the north of jacksonville. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Quite simply, this place operates with a mindset that is completely unhealthy—unaccommodating toward the sick and utterly lacking in empathy for the patient. I went to my appointment with the neurosurgeon, who decided to send me to the ER for an MRI because it would be faster, as he wanted to determine the severity of my condition. That is where the true ordeal began. While suffering from severe pain, I was made to wait for over two hours; during that time, more than three different people asked me the exact same questions while typing into a computer—which I suspect wasn't even working, given that the questions never changed. I received no pain medication—nothing at all. I entered the ER at 9:51 AM and finally left at 3:10 PM—without having had any water or food, and having been bombarded with the same questions over and over again. Eventually, I reached a point where I decided to leave; I simply couldn't take it anymore. It was then—as if by magic—that the doctor finally appeared. He told me they would administer pain medication—this, after I had already waited two hours—and even then, it took another hour and a half for the medication to actually arrive. I wish the doctor—or anyone else—would sit in one of those wheelchairs for two hours while suffering from the kind of pain I had, and then tell me how they fare. Perhaps then they could pass on to the rest of the staff their newfound ability to recognize another person's pain at a mere glance. Later, I checked the report on the app, and Dr. Vlad Panaitescu had simply stated that I was "violent" and that they had administered medication to me—medication I never actually received. Now I ask myself: Is demanding one's rights considered violent? Is wanting better care considered violent? Is needing someone to actually pay attention considered violent? I don't think so. However, it will likely come down to one person's word against another's—with the case resting largely on the testimony of a nurse who simply failed to do her job and chose to hear only what she wanted to hear, without any understanding of the level of pain and stress a patient is enduring. Quite simply, this is the worst place for emergency care when it comes to the nurses and doctors. That said, the rest of the staff in the Emergency Department—including those in MRI and other areas—are excellent; I only wish the rest of the department could learn from their example. That was my experience; perhaps others will have a better one, and I sincerely hope they improve.
Not happy with this location. We waited 3 hours and people before us were waiting 6+ hours. I came in practically bleeding out and there was sense of urgency. I know this probably comes from a staffing issue but it’s still disappointing. We had to leave and drive an extra 15 minutes while I was in extreme pain to Baptist in Wildlight. They saw me as soon as I walked in once I explained how severe my situation was. No matter the emergency I will drive further to them instead of going here.
The on duty doctor, nurse and CT technicians were awesome. Wait Time: 1h Care: Outstanding Cleanliness: Good Busyness: 4-6 people in the lobby I believe that most of the 1 star reviews on this emergency room is due to the specific process that this emergency room follows. If you are not on their list of emergencies and should have went/waited to go to urgent care then you will be waiting until everyone that is on their list for an emergency is taken care of.
