I just wish I could keep the doctor I get established with and trust, instead of them coming here to learn and practice on us, ( that I feel are a lot of Medicaid holders ) then 4 to 6 months down the line, their gone! Gone to care no more for us. Leaving us just as they found us.
I came from my appointment this morning to pick up my lab kit for a specific test. The receptionist asked for my ID. I was a bit confused about why my ID was taken to the back. So, I needed to leave i would need to wait for the lab tech to come out of the back office. I felt like a hostage 😂. I spoke with the Supervisor who came out with a bag of supplies. Mind you we're in the lobby, no patients was there...but the receptionist and another employee in the lobby who can here everything. The Supervisor came out and said here you go with a big paper bag. I said do you want to talk to me? She looked at me and said oh do you have any questions for me? I ask her what should I do, like times and dates. I looked in the bag and there was only 1 kit. I said to her I'm not reusing that I have a order for 3 specimens. The Supervisor was just going to give me a bag of supplies and no paper instructions. I asked her so what times do you want specimens? She asked what insurance i have? I told her United Healthcare. I still didn't get paper instructions, only verbal. She stated that the provider office is suppose to give the specimen supplies at the office and explain the details of how to collect for testing. I looked at her and said ok, I was told by my provider the lab will give me details of that information. She said no, but we don't mind giving you the supplies for your specimen not a problem. I thought if I'm giving a specimen in the office they would give me the supplies so they could transfer to the lab. I've worked in a medical office and in a lab before and I never did what this Supervisor is saying. When I left from my appointment I went straight to the lab. I opted out of getting print outs from the office because the lab using the same system for lab requisitions of test the provider is requesting. So I'm wondering why the Supervisor came out with 1 kit instead of 3 kits 🤔. I mean that's what she took my ID for....right? I came back to the lab this morning (3/2/2026) to drop off my specimen. Go in the back to register only to be told I'm at the wrong location. I need to go to 15255 Max Legget Parkway to drop off my specimen because they don't take United Healthcare. I said why the Supervisor didn't tell me this? The rep said she wouldn't know what insurance the accept. I said she just asked me about my insurance when I came to pick up my kits. Oh, yeah the rep stated it's not that far. Well I went to the location this morning. By the time I got there I had 8 patients ahead of me, so I knew I wouldn't be able to drop it off without registering with the tech. I asked the tech if I bring my specimen here? She said yes. What type of insurance do you have, I told her United Healthcare. She said it be $15.00 for them to send out to Quest. I said ok. So I have to go back tomorrow. I was at the other lab at 8:10a which was the wrong lab. If i knew the correct location I wouldn't of wasted time this morning. That goes to show you how unprofessional individuals are....they run the office how they want and just don't care. I rather be at the other location anyway. I wouldn't NEVER did that type of mess like this.
It needs some restructuring new management and a new mission statement it seems half of their staff is amazing and care and another half the opposite. They also have alot to do in order to understand how to treat the opioid epidemic. Their current approach is outdated and is no longer affective.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is very clean.
UF Health Pavilion I have been here at the pavilion rehab for 40 days. I have never in my 67 years had the care I have received here.. This is the best rehab in The United States. From my surgeon and Ortho absolutely the best. From my Dr Khan and his staff is absolutely outrageously the best care ever. My nurses, and my PCA, too house keeping. And the food is freaking awesome. I can't name all of the people have care for me. I would run out of room. I'm going home today because of all of you. I just can't thank you enough. Brook, and Kristen in the rehab department Thank you both for pushing me to keep going. I will never forget this experience with all of you. I appreciate the kindness from all of you. Stephanie made me laugh. And Sheila is so funny. I apologize for not naming each of you. But y'all always brighten my day and always with a smile. I am the ice Queen 👑.And I am sure they will never forget me. As I will never forget y'all... Again thank you all so very much.. There will always be a place in my heart for y'all 🙏💓 Room 372 10/4 to 11/13
