This is the worst er I have ever witnessed, it needs to be investigated actually. Not only is it filthy an unsanitary, patients are neglected here. My husband was admitted to the hospital and transferred to this specific ER to wait for an icu bed..ICU and he was not being taken care of at all I have proof he was left to sit in feces for well over an. Hour after I alerted several different people of this. The second time I finally just asked for the supplies to clean him myself. He was experiencing severe delirium and mild hallucinations and they never checked on him. While I was switching back with another family member to sit with my husband ( only one person was allowed back there) I noticed he was in a different gown . I asked him what happened and he said he fell on the floor and had an accident and someone gave him a pill. I asked his nurse directly about this and she looked me right in the eye and lied said he didn't fall. I let it go at the moment thinking maybe he only thought he did. Until the next day the ICU nurse informed me he not only was still a fall risk he did fall. I asked when she said in his er note his nurse stated he did fall . So why lie . You would only lie if you were trying to hide something and neglect. I will be reaching out for her name and filing a complaint. The ICU was great he had good care on that floor and the 6th floor north wing was awesome except one nurse who was severely rude and mean to my husband her patient because he was simply watching news and she is I assume Muslim and didn't agree with what news was on and my son witnessed this behavior. So she was more concerned about what a news anchor reported about her religion group than her patient which fyi is not anti religion and could care less about what she was or wasn't in that regard. Also that er hand out hand out Ativan like candy to almost everyone so they can basically just sedate and not have to bother with patients and I know because there no privacy what' so ever I could every ones personal information like what they are experiencing to what disease they have ECT. This emergency room is practicing in unacceptable conditions to a point I may actually consult an attorney regarding my husbands neglect of care and the lying of what happened to him when family wasn't there. He also sat there for 9 hours for an icu bed they refused to transfer to another hospital stating they couldn't be they were capable of treating him except they weren't or he wouldn't have waited on hours for proper ICU care. They also never gave him IV fluid that whole 9 hours stating he was fine vitals wise . A bp fluctuating from 160 + to 90/50 something and respiratory rate in the 40s with resting hr above 100 is not fine , someone is not hydrated if they did urinate for over 9 hours! Photos are the nasty stuff on his bed and the used medical supplies from other patients on the wall
Nurse Soha is an absolutely amazing nurse. She cares for every patient as if they were one of her own loved ones. She is incredibly attentive, compassionate, and professional qualities that are rare to find these days. I completely trust her with my care and with the care of my loved ones. Thank you for everything you do and for making this place a better, brighter, and more comforting place for everyone. ❤️💕
My friend had a heart attack and was brought here. I followed the ambulance and was taken to a waiting room. I was told I'd be given communication but never was. I waited two hours before finding someone who told me where to find my friend. The ambulance cost came out to $700. Life-saving medicine should not be monetized. Where is the sense in punishing someone for having a heart attack?
This is a busy ER for obvious reasons. I went there at 6:00 am and I was seen within five minutes. The staff that checked me in were nice and funny especially when they found out I had a sense of humor. I was taken to a room in the ER and was evaluated right away. I had two different specialists consult for my best treatment plan. I had a biliary drain tube placed. All I can say is I had excellent care from the ER to Interventional Radiology. Thank you for the great care.
There is no compassion here. I’m at the ER hospital with a family member, and I’ve been deeply saddened by the treatment I’ve witnessed. A lady was poorly treated by staff, with one member continuously probing her with questions, interrupting her, and failing to address her concerns properly. It was painful to hear someone in need being treated this way. The hospital is also visibly unclean, with no proper hygiene or safety practices in place. Additionally, the nurses speak as if they are tired and uninterested in what the patients have to say, which only adds to the lack of care and professionalism. You can almost hear them rolling their eyes. To make matters worse, patients are stacked nearby each other as if they’re on an open grocery aisle, with no privacy or dignity afforded. This is not the best of Jacksonville, Florida, and I sincerely hope improvements are made to patient care, staff behavior, and the overall cleanliness of this facility. The people here deserve better.
