Absolutely disgusting shelter not just that nasty attitude they don't know how to clean they refused to clean, the mats are very thin so are the blankets and they don't care about anybody a elderly lady peed on herself and one of the workers blasted her business everywhere and then go ask her why she peed on herself but she already told them she couldn't control her bladder and not only that she fell in the bathroom while she was trying to poop and it got everywhere and no one cleaned it up and it got all over the floor in the curtains and worker said it was not her responsibility to how to clean up someone else's poop and she said she wasn't going to clean it and they left it there all night the workers are not respectful and they act like they do not like there job to help and and the food is extremely disgusting undercooked and thrown together. I would not recommend this place even to homeless person not even my worst enemy. Whole crew definitely needs to be replacement of most of the crew now two ladies there we're very respectful but the rest needs to be replaced asap, never felt welcome or treated as a human being
they cram 85 of us in a room every night and give us thin mats to sleep on. it smells so bad every night we have to beg for the fan. it's also way too hot to sleep. everyone has blankets but no one ever uses them. took me 4 nights to get used to sleeping thru the night, and that's after i spray deodorant up my nose. some nights i still can't get more than 2 hours. there's nowhere to charge my phone, and i have to ask them every time i want to charge my bike battery. also lots of people abusing power here. once a week the big boss stops by just to slow everything down. he doesn't help at all he just takes control and walks around with gloves on to show us how dirty we are and how he's not one of us. Keith is in the "program" here and he likes to wake everyone up 5 minutes early. he kicked my mat to try to get me up and every day he's more intrusive. he's probly just jealous of the fact that i still have teeth. i shower at planet fitness; i wont even go near the showers here. meals are disgusting and they have a cooler of water but no cups. they've been out of cups for over 2 weeks now. some of these people should be in assisted living. most of these people should be in asylum. I hope I never have to go back here.
I tried to go here and was turned away in the pouring rain with my two children simply because my oldest son is over the age of 12. This is inhumane. My son isn't a trouble maker. We were simply looking for emergency shelter for a night. The young lady was rude. I left messages asking for corporate or human resources number and never received a call back. Wasn't given any other resources to help. Was put completely on the spot in front of a bunch of other homeless women...
I love the out come of being a resident here. Great help from the staff to the best of their possibilities. I highly recommend. It was truly an honor to get help from this shelter. The very first thing ever said the me when I entered the shelter was “take everything w a grain of salt”
The people I spoke to were the most sweetest people you would ever meet. Here you will feel a sense of belonging and being part of a family. I will be returning here and staying for a while. I also love how heavily faith based it is. I need all the prayer I can get from here and may God continue to bless the wonderful people who made this place possible for people like me and many more.
