Went to the players championship a few years back. Finally played it for myself. Par on 1 and only one. Shane was a great caddie. He gave me some pointers and helped me learn to line up correctly. I love the bag tag you get. Really wished I would have pared Or better on 17 but next time!
Amazing course...It was my first time golfing this amazing and challenging course. And the fact that I was able to play it, still puts a smile on my face. I can only rave about how amazing the staff are here, especially our caddie, Derek, who was such a great help throughout our round, he knew The Stadium course better than I know my own backyard. It is truly a majestical and challenging course and the amenities were something you can only truly appreciate in person. If you ever have the opportunity to play here, do so, you will truly appreciate the experience.
This was a bucket list vacation. From the moment I arrived at Club House the staff treated me like a VIP. The caddies were very knowledgeable and friendly. I had breakfast in the dinning room, and the service was excellent, and the food was great. The Stadium Course was so much fun to play.
We attended as a group of 6 around 2 weeks ago. We bought a hotel package and 4 of our group played a round at 9am. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were very attentive in the breakfast room. The pro shop was stocked well and the girl in here was super lovely. The hotel was tired and my bath didn't hold water but thats separate from the course. My youngest son and I hired a cart for $38 extra to go round the course with my husband and older children and father in law, and this was called a spectator cart. They had free ice for us to stock our little drinks containers with and the lady in the cart came round with cold drinks and snacks to purchase. The boy who we had as our fore caddy was called Hudson and he was absolutely amazing. So helpful and caring, and he really was full of excellent advice even though he was only 18. Manners were impeccable and we were very grateful for his service. On the 17th hole, we approached an employee named Joe who advised the boys had 2 tries to get it on the green. My husband and 17 year old son managed in 1 shot and both sunk a putt for a birdie so that was great. My father in law took both tries and failed miserably, and my 12 year old son hit the edge of the green and about a foot out. Joe asked us to move on. My son was inconsolably sobbing. I asked Joe if he could be kind and allow another shot, considering there was no one behind us and my husband and son only took 1 shot each. He refused. We moved on to the last hole and my son was so upset I decided to drive back and beg Joe. He tried to say that he couldn't bend the rules, there were cameras in the trees 😂 after 5 minutes of me saying how mean this was especially as there was STILL no one on the tee, he told me to hurry up and finally let him have another shot. This time it did hit the green and rolled off the back but it seemed to console him a bit. My reason for telling this story is that I believe that the 2 try rule is a load of nonsense and is just a power trip for an old man with nothing better to do. It's completely understandable when there are people at your back waiting to take their shot but when the rest of your party do it in less time than requested, and theres no one at your back, it's misery guts material! Other than Joe the killjoy, we had the best day ever and it was everything we expected and more 😊 We would love to one day return but we will need to win the lottery first!
I couldn't and probably will never be able golf on this course, but it is still an amazing place. The courses are beautiful, and the clubhouse has lots of good history. Also, it is fun to see gators throughout the many ponds.
