An expansive park across from the Naval base. They just put in a new playground that is great for kids who like to climb. There is a covered seating area and bathroom by the playground making it great to bring kids. There is also a hiking trail that is easy for elementary school kids. At the end you can climb an observation tour to look out over the park. Then a mountain biking trail for adults and an archery club are also options. Even though this is right in the middle of the city, you wouldnt really know it. A great way to escape and find nature without a drive.

The MTB trails are nearest the entrance, but you have to park past the archery range and ride back. There is a bike trail to the MTB trails, but you need to use the road for a short section.
This was the first park that I visited in Jacksonville years ago. I was sad to see that it has not been aging well. The paths are overgrown and the tower is closed with no plans to repair it. It breaks my heart to see.
I love it here, different levels of mountain biking skills , very fun biking area in general, i go there almost weekly
Came for the pump track and to explore local flora and fauna. Enjoyed the pump track and got some attention from the forest cats.
