My name is Nathan Waters. I have NOT ... I repeat.. I have NOT retained Jessica's firm yet... but regardless of if I do or not, the receptionist or intake person that took my call was very kind and very easy to talk to. Sarah made a very stressful situation and period of life that I'm in right now feel like clouds because she in that little time and her manner of how she answered, her laugh, and almost like you can tell who the person is by how they talk... like they are smiling almost when they answer the phone.... I don't normally leave reviews before I ever retain an attorney or do business as a customer or client, but this one made me feel like I should atleast say how appreciative I am. A lot of these attorneys you call see a case as just another case, they don't see the people behind the client, their family, just the kids themselves and I think this in all in one simple phone call makes me feel comfort and peace.... someone that my kids who are the sweetest in the world would immediately cling on to and ask to be their best friends. Mind, they are only 7 and 4. But how people talk to me gives me a sense of how they would be to my family and how they would handle my case as someone, not just someone or another number on the docket. That has yet to be seen of course from this firm since I have never retained them but from I read from all the reviews, I can say I feel safe leaving this review and doing a consultation, and perhaps even being retained. Thank you Sarah. If you only knew what I'm going through right now. Our call was only 9 minutes. And in that 9 minutes you brought calm. Jessica, you without a doubt have someone with goes beyond character, but CHARISMA. That can't be bought or trained, it's not a talent, or a skill... it goes much deeper into the soul of a person and who they truly are. I'm a journalist by trade and in broadcasting and film production, I read people very well. And this already was an amazing experience. So again, thank you.

If you need someone to help you file a claim for Social Security disability, The Law Office of Jessica Dumas is absolutely the best place you can go. I was referred to her office by a paralegal from another firm that doesn't work on these types of legal issues. I was very lucky that I new someone from another firm that could refer me to a firm who specialized in Social Security Claims. Everyone that I worked with on the team was extremely helpful, efficient and effective in getting my claim submitted and processed. Sara was particularly helpful as we went through the process of answering several lengthy questionnaires and getting medical records submitted to SSA and Florida Department of Health. (SSA uses FDOH too gather information and make the medical determination.) The process is long and fully of anxiety as SSA and FDOH will ask you the same questions and ask for the same information at least 3 slightly different ways. Several times, I received letters from FDOH on a Friday or Saturday telling me to contact them by the next day, which was Saturday or Sunday, (they are not open on the weekends), and the letters would always threaten that if we don't get the latest information inquiry, we will decide your case without the information and you may not be approved. Information that I sent to SSA did not transfer to FDOH so we would have to resubmit the information again. Sara was extremely knowledgeable about the questionnaires and helpful because she has access to the SSA system and can upload information and questionnaires in minutes instead of me having to mail them and wait weeks for FDOH or SSA to receive them and upload them. I was able to answer questionnaires and provide back up information by emailing a pdf to Sara and then she would upload into the SSA system. This ability was extremely valuable in getting my claim processed quickly. I was extremely surprised at the end about how much I needed to pay Ms. Dumas' firm. I was expecting it to be at least twice as much and I would have been happy to pay it because I was so happy with how fast my claim was adjudicated thanks to the excellent performance by the team in getting my claim submitted. The payment is deducted from the back pay if your claim is approved so a person has almost no risk when using a law firm to represent them. If you are in the unfortunate position of needing to file a SSA claim, the best thing you can do for yourself is seek representation from this firm.
Words cannot express how grateful I am for my attorney Jessica Dumas. I spent over 10 years fighting a brutal, uphill battle with Social Security, feeling overwhelmed, ignored, and exhausted by the system. When no one else would take my case, she stepped in, believed in me, and fought tirelessly for me. Thanks to her expertise, dedication, and deep knowledge of the system, my case was finally approved. She did all the heavy lifting and gave me back my voice when I was too sick to keep fighting alone. If you need a lawyer who actually cares about her clients and will stand by you no matter how tough the fight gets, look no further. She is truly the best!
I have spent quite some time trying to find the right words to express my gratitude for the effort that was done on my behalf. I still struggle and find myself at a general loss at what to say, but I had to make the effort. Coming to the decision to begin the Social Security disability process was personally difficult, fraught with feelings of shame, inadequacy, and unworthiness. I find it uncomfortable to admit I need help, in the past so often being the source of assistance for others. It is difficult for me to ask for help, especially when I desperately need it most. There were countless times that I felt overwhelmed, frustrated, discouraged, and uncertain in my chances for success. Throughout all of the interactions with Ms. Dumas and each member of the staff, I was treated with professionalism, patience, compassion, and a grace I didn’t feel I had earned or deserved. This meant more to me than I’m sure I ever communicated at the time, more than I probably ever will be able to. The entire staff was professional and patient with each interaction, every time I called for an update on my case. Each interaction reinforced that I was in capable hands, leaving me feeling a bit better at the end of the call than I did at the beginning. I felt lost and out of my depth, but I could trust that Ms. Dumas and her staff were there: knowledgeable, organized, and responsive. Thank you for the grace that the entire office showed me. There were undoubtedly times that I was difficult, anxious, and exhausted by the process. Throughout it all, I was treated like a person, not a case, by gracious professionals, with nothing but excellence and expertise at their jobs. The way I was treated was an organizational choice. This was clearly a choice that was made everyday, with every interaction I had. Whatever comes next for me, I will always be grateful that the Law Offices of Jessica Duma were there.
I would like to thank Jessica Dumas and her staff with helping me with my disability claim. They were professional and kept me updated throughout the entire process. I would like to specifically thank Sara Bratton for all her help and guidance during this tough process. She was incredible to work with and I highly recommend this office.
