I placed an order for specialty prints and had a minor issue with the first shipment. I reached out to Saundra to let her know, not expecting much — just wanted them to be aware. She took my concerns seriously, responded promptly, and offered to reprint and reship the entire order at no cost to me, no questions asked. The replacement prints arrived in perfect condition and the whole experience left me genuinely impressed. This is exactly the kind of customer care that's hard to find. I'll absolutely be ordering from FotoTechnika again.
I had a disappointing experience with Fototechnika. While I was on vacation in Florida, I dropped off a roll of film (Kodak Gold 200) for development and made it clear that I was returning home to Wilkes-Barre before it would be finished. No one mentioned that there would be an additional shipping fee to send my film back to me. I already paid the $10 development fee, so being told later that I owed another $18 came as a surprise because that was never explained when I dropped the film off. The biggest issue, though, was the customer service. I called to let them know I would pay the shipping fee on Friday once I had the money. Instead of simply acknowledging that, the employee I spoke with responded with an unnecessary attitude, making me feel like I was inconveniencing her. There was no reason to be rude, I was communicating my plan to pay and have my film shipped. At the moment, they’re still holding onto my film, even though I’ve already paid for the development and have every intention of paying the shipping fee as I said I would. A little communication and basic courtesy would have gone a long way. If the additional shipping cost had been explained upfront and the staff had been more professional, this experience would have been much different.
Love this place! I bring my film here all the time to get developed it’s affordable and comes back fast, they also call me right away and send film through email! Also the workers are so sweet and friendly. Film also comes out beautifully.
I recently had a few rolls of 35mm film developed. Several different c-41 film stocks. My customer service experience in the store was pleasant. The film was developed perfectly with no issues I could see. I choose to have my film developed only since I scan with a mirrorless camera so I can't speak to their film scanning process. The price is reasonable considering no one else in the area developes film AND gives you the negatives back. The only complaint I have is I didn't get a call back when my film was finished being developed. I had to call in and ask about it. I plan to have many more rolls of film developed here so I will see if this was just a one time occurrence. Picture are some Lomography 400 and portra 400 developed at this location
The customer service here is good, fine group of people running the business and I thank them for keeping their lab running when many other labs have closed down. Prices are higher than average for both developing and scanning rolls. 35mm scans were good, only had a concern with the noise in the medium format scan with the white car and some extra magenta in some scans. The three rolls of 35mm negatives were returned rolled up inside of a film canister, next time I will try to have them returned in a sleeve. Try everything twice, I’ll give it another go sometime.
