If I could give them 10 stars I would. I hadn't used QuickBooks in a long time and after 3 years of being in business, it was time for help after I made a mess of things with it. Linda and Natalie and been amazing. My books are perfectly in order now. Natalie did an amazing job and I couldn't be happier. Thanks again Forde Firm! Glad we found y'all.
Extremely disappointed with The Forde Firm. My husband and I hired them to handle our tax return (both personal and business) paid in full , and provided all information on time. We didn’t find out until June, after calling the IRS ourselves, that the return was never filed and by then, it was too late. The refund was permanently forfeited. At no point did the firm flag that we were in danger of missing the refund deadline, even though they accepted payment after the cutoff had already passed. This is basic due diligence any CPA should be expected to handle. Their communication was fragmented and dismissive. We were bounced between multiple staff members, and when we raised concerns, the owner responded with blame and deflection rather than professionalism or accountability. They completely fabricated the narrative of note taking because they didn’t write anything down during our initial conversation as a matter a fact I specifically inquired about deadlines and mentioned my loss of sleep due to the stress and we were told there was nothing to be concerned about and we could trust them. This was not a minor clerical error it was a complete failure of duty that resulted in real financial harm to our family to the tune of $5,279 plus the $647 we paid for a return that wasn’t filed. We have the emails, receipts, and timeline to prove it. Please think twice before trusting them with your taxes. Deadlines matter and silence can be costly.
I too join others that have had great difficulty with the Forde Firm, especially dealing with David Forde. David requested documents that were out of the ordinary from my investment accounts. I tried my best to deliver the info he wanted but it was just not there. His directions and explanations were all over the spectrum. Perhaps that is where David is on the spectrum. David even went so far to send me an email saying that I was out of the country for 2 months and therefore I was tardy in sending him them to him. That was TOTALLY a FALSE statement. I delivered hard copies of documents to his receptionist and was told that he would get them. When I spoke to David t he said he did not Know anything about them. I sent a follow up email to him making sure he received the documents, no response from him. Even my trust office and my investment officer were totally confused and frustrated having to deal with David Forde. Buyer BEWARE! Joan M.
The Forde Firm is a very professional and efficient CPA Firm. They have been very attentive and professional to our questions, and very responsive to our emails and phone calls. They have provided us with exceptional service in preparing our annual corporate tax return and our personal tax returns over the years. Our taxes can be somewhat complicated as we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and we live nine months out of the year overseas. We find in comparison with other CPA firms, their price for personalize service to be very fair and affordable. We appreciate the owner’s (Linda Forde) attention to detail when comuicting direct with her. However, all the staff at the Forde Firm are exceptional. Im disheartened by experience with this organisation. Overall my impression with the Forde firm is that they just don’t care.Over the past year of using their services I’ve been passed around to numerous CPAs within the company , have had my emails ignored, have had untimely tax filings and when asking direct questions regarding specific tax code was met with arrogance, deflection and passive aggressive responses by the owner and her bookkeeper. I wish my experience had been different because they are decent people but I can not recommend this business.
