The Dry Campers

After much searching and researching on installing a big solar bank and new panels for my airstream, I decided on the Dry Campers. Great decision on my part.( Humble Brag ) Mike and his team discussed all the different options and equipment that would be best for the set up ,I was looking for. I then scheduled the time to go to Florida and have it installed. Mike kept me abreast and informed of all the difference work as it was being performed on my airstream. Afterwards, we went over all the different options as far as adjusting, incoming power, and shutting down for storage. All the work was first rate and well done. Great people and wonderful individuals to spend time with, they are a font of information . Thanks 🙏

A Complete Game Changer – Highly Recommended! We had a solar system installed on our RV in 2022, but at the time, we had little understanding of what was needed to meet our expectations for comfortable boondocking. We relied on the installer to set up a system that would work for us, but after the installation, we quickly discovered we couldn’t even boondock for one night before running into issues. Despite reaching out to the installer, we received no support. We have three ACs on our rig, but we learned that the system they installed could only support two of them— even when connected to shore power. Things only worsened from there, with the system overheating and shutting down, and even on travel days, it would shut down due to low battery voltage. We had six 280-amp hour batteries, but they weren’t enough. Over the next two years, the problems continued to stack up, causing us to cancel several jobs and boondocking plans because we just couldn’t trust the solar system. We had been following The Dry Campers on YouTube for a while, even before buying our RV, and we were fortunate enough to meet them at a rally. After chatting with them, Mike kindly offered to inspect the system and quickly identified multiple issues. He spent hours reworking the wiring to get us operational until we could meet up again for a complete reinstall. When the time came for the reinstall, Mike and Pete spent the first few days disassembling the system and uncovered several issues with the original install. As Mike worked through the “pretty” reinstall, I was truly impressed by his attention to detail. Not only did he ensure everything was working perfectly, but he also made sure the system looked fantastic. Since the reinstall, we’ve had absolutely no issues, and we’re now looking forward to our first boondocking adventure without worrying about the system failing. Looking back, my only regret is not having The Dry Campers do the install from the beginning. If I ever need any further solar work, they are absolutely the team I will go to.

We met Mike and his staff through another friend who had a solar system put on their 5th. After seeing the work that they did, my wife and I decided to have a system put on our 44’ Momentum toy hauler. We aren’t being dry campers and went with a large system anyway to make sure we had power when traveling and in the event of power outages. The best part is that Mike is truly dedicated to his customers, before installation, during installation and after installation. I have had many after installation phone calls with Mike who has answered every question I have had. If I ever had the opportunity to have solar placed on another RV, I would only use The Dry Campers. Thanks Mike for a fantastic, clean job.

Mike and Pete did an amazing job on the installation of the solar and lithium on our fifth wheel. Not only has the system worked flawlessly on our many boondocking trips, including from Texas to Alaska and back, but their work was beautifully done. By moving the six lithium batteries under the stairs, we gained the entire front storage bay and are able to keep the batteries warm in colder weather. They also moved the pass-through basement wall to gain us approximately five square feet of extra storage there as well. Awesome work and awesome guys, now lifelong friends.
