Initially we were nervous to go to a church this big. My husband and I both walked in for the first time over 2 years ago with some serious reservations. We’ve heard horrible things about “megachurches”. Turns out, people are way too judgy about this megachurch. Big does not necessarily mean bad. Pastor Joby teaches UNDER the authority of Scripture. He does not hold himself over the authority of the Bible. He tells people not to idolize him, that any good in Him is God, and if you idolize him, you’ll end up demonizing him when he inevitably lets you down. I appreciated that humility and honesty. The elders of the church are great and godly men. The discipleship groups make the big church seem smaller. We love our discipleship group and it helped us find people to walk alongside and do life with. My husband and I got baptized at their yearly Saturated event. Listen, I get it. The church is huge and it’s a bit jarring. But these people love Jesus and it shows. It’s one big dysfunctional family, but they really all try to walk out their faith. I love seeing everyone so into it, taking notes, and changing their lives for Christ. You see real fruit here. Bottom line, this church has helped my marriage, my parenting, my relationships, and all because my walk with Christ has been strengthened so much. That’s the most important thing. I’ve learned who Jesus is, and allowed Him to transform my life. I was leaning very legalistic before I came to this church, and it really helped me put that aside and focus on Jesus. This church is living out the great commission in mission trips, and they have ministries for seniors, veterans, pregnancy, special needs, mental health, orphans/adoption, you name it. They are doing what the Bible says and it’s wonderful to be a part of. Honestly, God is doing a work at this church, and I’m just thankful to be a witness to it. Thank you, Church of Eleven22 ♥️
Great worship, meaningful messages and extremely friendly congregation. This church also offers a wide variety of ministries to help and make you feel welcomed.
We absolutely enjoyed our visits at Church of Eleven22. We’ve been attending online for a while and decided when we planned our vacation that we would attend service in person on the way to vacation and on the way home from vacation. We enjoyed both services and were blessed by both. Thank you Church of Eleven22 for making us feel so welcome!
I was once so against 1122 until one day I heard something in the distance on my YouTube that was just playing on its own that really resonated with me deeply and called to my heart. I go to look who's speaking these words that pulled on my heart and mind so deeply and it's was Joby. I immediately almost exited the video and rolled my eyes.... Instead I kept listening.. I cried my heart out that entire service...it was like he was speaking directly to me.... And then the following week again cried like a baby. Before I knew it I was craving Sunday service, constantly watching old videos from past sermons, and actively loving being drenched in the word of GOD and learning about JESUS AND GOD. This church help to bring me so far in my faith to a place I never thought I would be able to get to and have never been so connected to even with years of attempting to reach and achieve this level on my own. I will forever be grateful that I got out of my own way and that God sent Joby to stand firm in this world we currently live in and to give us the TRUE meaning of God's word and for him to actively be trying to bring people to Jesus. I cheated myself out of this space for so long not only listening to the negative naysayers about how this is a "cult" and a "mega church" but I as someone who had never even attended was also actively trashing this church continuously online. I was SOOOOO wrong. And I feel extremely guilty for that because I know that the same way other people were saying that to me and they were getting in the way of me accessing my growth and my faith I was actively blocking others by doing the same thing. So I want to make this review as someone who has been on the outside looking in and looking at things with a very negative mindset that was very deeply hurt, lost, and was guiding myself through life without God and Jesus as my core purpose to say that everyone should give 1122 a try. If you don't like it that's okay, but at least make that decision for yourself and no matter where you end up at church I just hope that you end up at a church that is telling truth and that you are saved to be home with God and Jesus one day. I can't begin to express how much the Church of Eleven22 has done to bring me to Christ. Pastor Joby Martin and all the Pastors do a fantastic job at breaking down the Word in a way that is easy to understand and relate to. Pastor One, Pastor Brit, and Pastor Matt Chandler have all had a profound effect on me. Since, I found Eleven22 I found a Men's Disciple Group in Bluffton, SC and found a family that I didn't know I needed. I was one of 2,552 to get Baptized at the beach and am so glad that I publicly declared Jesus my Lord and Savior. From day one, I was welcomed with open arms. Thank you for bringing me to Christ. #BeFree.
