The Book Loft

What a cute, wonderful store. I love buying a book from a local, independent bookstore when I travel. I came in wanting the newest book in a series that just came out but got sucked into the entire store. I loved looking through the local selection of books and puzzles. Wonderful store for any book lover of any age.

The employees here know books. I come in to town for work a few times a year and always stop in to get my next read. I always ask for a recommendation based on my current interests and they never fail to provide the perfect suggestions. This time I gave my most recent reads and said "I want something that will devastate me" and the flurry of excitement to find my next book was amazing. You wont regret stopping in.

Nyah was cheerful, professional and knowledgeable. She took good care of us, we bought four books; would have been five but The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon was not in stock. Loved finding local area authors represented and purchased one by Madeline Martin. This was our 1st visit to Amelia and ahead of our day trip visit we vowed to stop at the Book Loft. Was itsy bit disappointed the upstairs was closed off to customers b/c in photos it looks part of the stores appeal. But the ground floor was lovely. And the service impeccable. Nyah certainly makes The Book Loft look really good, you are clever to have her on staff. FYI None of the stores offer public wash rooms but there is a Welcome Area by the Fountain with public washrooms.
