We were on our way somewhere else for lunch and decided to stop him at the Albatross instead. What a great decision. It's definitely a bar/music venue, with the food was amazing. My friend and I shared at Imperial wrap and loaded tots. Both were excellent. The imperial had a nice crunchy exterior out. All the ingredients were still cool. The tots were like an open face grinder over tater tots and I could see him eating that entire platter of these.
Dope dive spot for live heavy metal, hardcore, punk, alt rock shows! Cool staff, patrons and vibe! Can't comment on the food/drinks other than the water. The water is good! Remember to stay hydrated in the pit!
Had a blast seeing the good Rev. Horton Heat on a Tuesday night, along with local favorite Mudtown. Great little dive bar venue, friendly service.
Tasty food, great drinks, an overall great atmosphere! I came for the House of Heavy concert and my friend and I had a great time! My friend was pleasantly surprised to find that there was food available and it came out hot and fast. She enjoyed it a lot! We'll definitely come back for more mini concerts and events l like this.
A great venue with new owners with deep roots in the Jacksonville local music scene. Attended the Inspection 12 release party last night. I've been here a number of times before under the old name, Underbelly, and something about last night just felt different, and nostalgic. I don't know if it was seeing Inspection 12 again for the first time in ages or how hot it was in there, or the nostalgic menu item names... but it had me all in my feels and took me back to memory lane and going to all the punk and metal shows at The Milk Bar back in the 90s and early 2000's. From the food menu I grabbed an Einstein A Go-Go which is a hand breaded chicken tenders sandwich topped with mayo, kimchi, sweet Thai chili sauce, and pickles on an amaroso roll. I got it without mayo and I enjoyed and savored every bite of this sandwich. I want to try others in the future, but it's going to be difficult to because that's how good this sandwich was. I don't know what kind of sorcery they're doing in that kitchen back there, but Mikey and the entire Albatross team is doing something right and I'm excited for the new chapter of this venue.
