Taps Bar & Grill is a great local spot in St. Johns if you’re looking for good food, a relaxed atmosphere, and friendly service. I ordered the French fries and hot wings, and both were excellent. The fries had that perfect double-cooked crisp that gives them a great crunch on the outside while still soft inside. They came out hot and fresh, exactly how fries should be. The wings were also really good, full of flavor and cooked just right. The service here really stood out as well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience enjoyable. The place has a fun vibe with pool tables, games, and trivia nights, making it more than just a bar. It’s the kind of spot where you can grab great food, hang out with friends, and stay for a while. If you're in the St. Johns area, Taps Bar & Grill is definitely a solid place to stop for wings, fries, and a good time.

My wife and daughter, and her family, enjoyed another delicious meal at Taps. Our server, Dominic, was very personable and responsive. I'm a heavy drinker (of diet cokes) and my glass never went dry. I highly suggest anyone looking for a nice evening in a fun environment, to visit Taps.
I am not a picky person by any stretch but the burger was well done, almost burned. I ordered medium-rare. Fries were cold and burned and the bottom bun was stale. Almost like it had been made much earlier for another customer. I’ve had far better at McDonalds. On the positive side the beer was cold and slightly warmer than the fries and the waitress was good.
I was dissatisfied with my recent experience at this restaurant, where our primary purpose was to dine. While the quality of the burgers and fries was satisfactory, we encountered an unexpected charge. After ordering only tea and soda, we were billed a five-dollar service charge per person for our beverages. This fee was applied without prior notice or an opportunity to request refills. Considering that each of us paid over $2.50 for our drinks, at least one refill should have been provided, yet we were charged an additional five dollars for each drink beyond the initial order. It is increasingly frustrating that establishments impose additional fees without clear communication, making it difficult to enjoy a meal and entertainment without feeling pressured to spend extra. This was our second visit; on our previous visit, we were not subjected to such charges. If this has become the standard practice, we will regrettably choose not to return.
We will be back for hopefully a dinner or lunch entree. We stopped in for a couple of appetizers. We really liked the onion rings. They were seasoned perfectly and their dipping sauce was a good accompaniment. The smoked gouda fried cheese sticks were not great. I loved the creativity but the cheese just tasted greasy. Maybe use smoked mozzarella instead? Looking forward to enjoying a burger or one of their amazing main courses we saw blurring by us on the way to their assigned tables. Very welcoming and friendly staff too.
