Zero Empathy: Harassing Customers with Brain Injuries & Damaging Credit Review: Do not do business with TD Auto Finance if you expect even a basic level of human decency during a crisis. My family has experienced firsthand their predatory and heartless treatment of customers. After a serious accident involving a traumatic brain injury and the total loss of a vehicle, TD Auto Finance has shown zero flexibility or empathy. Instead of allowing time for medical recovery and insurance processing, they have: Demanded immediate payment of the entire vehicle balance while we are still dealing with life-altering injuries. Engaged in constant harassment, calling for payments during a period of extreme medical hardship. Reported late payments to the credit bureaus aggressively, further damaging our financial future while we are physically unable to manage the account. Their lack of a hardship policy or any willingness to work with families in crisis is appalling. Save yourself the stress and find a lender that treats people like human beings, not just account numbers. Stay far away.
My husband has waited over 3+ months for them to endorse a check for damage repairs. No one knows what they’re doing- we’ve received misinformation from multiple reps, and there’s no way to escalate to a superior. On top of all this, we’re the ones that have to “follow up” and call to make sure things are handled correctly. I have no clue how this place is still in business…
We’ve been trying to get a lien release since October. We’ve called them 7 times each call lasting over an hour. We haven’t received anything, they say they sent the fax 3 days ago but we looked at our fax history and never received it. We have been hung up on 4 times and haven’t spoken to a single helpful person. We need to get this document by tomorrow or I can’t loan my vehicle to my brother and we literally can’t even drive it until this is resolved. Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. They even get notes from historical calls incorrect. They put you on hold for 20 minutes at a time just to read the notes and they are totally incorrect, and the requests are left incomplete.
I hate the fact you gotta pay them for asking to miss a month cause of emergency expenses. I will never ever finance with them again.
I spent weeks calling about our information but never got a person to pick up the phone at all. I would never get a car if TD will be financing it period. I didn’t even want to give one star but it wouldn’t let me post without one.
