Sulzbacher Village was the biggest blessing for myself & my son. I arrived during the toughest time of my life, & we began our residency on the transitional side of the building. I was able to place my son in daycare & begin work immediately. Eventually, we moved into a studio apartment at Sulzbacher Village that became our home for 5 years!! It really was home. Everyone there became family to me & my son; & although we’ve moved on, I will always remember Sulzbacher Village & the village I had while there! Much love to all! ❤️
Sulzbacher Village provides a safe home for women, children, and families experiencing housing crisis. There are permanent housing units, a female veterans unit, medical respite unit, early learning center, and a 7,000 square foot, state-of-the-art pediatric health center will offer primary care, dental, vision and behavioral health services. Children living in the Village, as well as children in the surrounding community, are able to access services at the health center.
This shelters management team is organized, caring, and dedicated to helping the community. Their hard work creates a safe and welcoming environment for everyone!
I was at the old Sulzbacher over on 611 E.adams st.Before the new one was built. But now that one is all males now so now I'm about to be homeless again with my daughter and her son again but my youngest daughter she is doing well now for herself. And now she's living in her own place and is going to college and working as well and has a license and a vehicle of her own. But I'm trying to help my oldest daughter and her son get themselves together as well as myself. So I'm on a long journey with my oldest daughter and her son he's only 4yrs.old and he has altruism I think that's how u spell it.
