Highly Recommend for Kids & Teens! We found Striking Balance for our 13-year-old son and couldn’t be happier. We started with a trial class to see if he would like it, and he immediately wanted to join. The instructors are fantastic — they’re patient, knowledgeable, and truly care about the kids. The environment is welcoming, positive, and focused on building confidence, discipline, and real skills in a safe way. My son loves the striking and kickboxing elements, and we’ve seen him grow in focus and fitness since starting. The staff are honest, professional, and make families feel at home. If you’re in the St. Johns / 32259 area and looking for a great martial arts place for your child, this is the one. Awesome people running an awesome program. We’re so glad we found them!
If you’re looking for a Karate/MMA spot in St John’s for your kids - look no further than Striking Balance in St Johns (Rt 13 and racetrack rd). We have had our 6 year old son at Striking Balance for a little over one month and you can already see his individual growth! It’s so great that he looks forward to going to train and the dojo lessons around respect and discipline are obviously parent-friendly🙌. Both Masters (Sensei’s) are exceptional and we’re fortunate to have this place so close to us! 5 stars and hope it becomes a staple in our community!
Great place for kids to learn both skill and confidence! My son has been attending for almost a year now and it was the best decision. Thank you for everything you have taught my son both on and off the mat.

We couldn't be happier with Striking Balance Martial Arts – and more importantly, neither could our three children! Finding an activity that all of them genuinely enjoy and stick with can be a challenge, but Striking Balance has been a resounding success. From the moment they started, our kids have been absolutely enthralled. The instructors do an incredible job of making classes engaging and fun, while also instilling discipline and respect. It's truly amazing to watch them not only learn martial arts techniques but also grow in confidence and focus. They always come home excited to tell us about what they learned and can't wait for their next class. If you're looking for a martial arts school where your children will thrive, learn valuable skills, and genuinely love going, Striking Balance is definitely the place!
