I was starvin like marvin when I came in. The food was sooo good. I was full. I will definitely come back.
Starvin’ Like Marvin was great! The whiting fish and shrimp were seasoned perfectly—full of flavor and cooked just right. The customer service was excellent. Bridgette and the rest of the team were wonderful hosts, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Marvin even came out himself and was friendly and personable, which made the experience even better. Definitely stop by and support if you’re looking for great food and a great atmosphere!
The fried shrimp was cooked just right. A beautiful golden crust with a nice flavor. But the size was inconsistent. My friends seemed to have large, plump shrimp but mine were a smaller/medium size. There was a wait for the food but the shrimp and texture was really good. The fries tasted like regular fries. Ok. And I did not taste the dinner roll that came with meal. Other guests said they liked the oysters and wings but I did not taste them. I would have ordered food to go but I did not want to wait. I was disappointed that there was no dessert on the menu and none offered to finish off my meal! No dessert. Probably would have been good. There is a huge TV/screen that seems to cover an entire wall! Seriously. I meant to ask the size of that thing! And in front of it is, I guess, a very small dance floor. In a group this place was ok. It's spacious and pretty clean but gives a lounge/bar/club vibe to me. Just not exactly the dining atmosphere I'm looking for when solo dining. But in a group it's fine. If I'm ever in the area again one day, I may try the fried shrimp once more hoping to get a serving of the bigger, plumper shrimp and try some other things recommended, to go. But that TV is humongous! And the food was really good.
Great food. Nice atmosphere with tvs, music and comfortable seating. Very friendly and it was nice to meet the owner.
I attended the Thursday happy hour event. It was busy but worth the wait because of the awesome food specials $1.00 oysters, shrimp and wings you can't beat that price these days. The food is served fresh and hot. Kudos to my servicer Marquita she was awesome 👌 👏 👍
