Starling at San Jose

We recently moved my mother into this assisted living community, and the experience has been wonderful. The Executive Director has been incredibly caring, professional, and attentive, which gave our family confidence from the very beginning. The entire management staff, including the sales director and director of nursing has gone above and beyond to make this transition as easy as possible. The activities department does an amazing job providing engaging and meaningful programs that keep my mom active and involved. The food has been excellent, and my mother has really been enjoying her meals. What stands out the most is the friendly and compassionate staff. Everyone has been welcoming, kind, and genuinely caring, making our family feel at ease moving my mother in! We are so grateful to have found a community where she feels comfortable, supported, and well cared for. I would highly recommend this assisted living community to anyone looking for a place that truly puts its residents first.

My MIL recently moved into Starling and the experience has been absolutely wonderful. What made this transition and experience so smooth has been the quality staff and community. Starling's director Amy Bowland has been so attentive and responsive every step of the way. She truly cares about her Starling residents & is involved in a daily, warm hands-on way. You always see her walking around checking in on residents and conversing with everyone. Andi has also organized such fun events for everyone, especially the Grandparents day event had last weekend with my kids, husband, and MIL. She is yet another staff member we met who approached us our first week at Starling & made us feel so welcome. Looking forward to the memories to come at Starling. My kids love coming here to visit their grandmother here!

Starling at San Jose is the perfect place for your loved ones. The directors and staff truly care about the residents, the food is great, and there is always something new to do. The range of activities is amazing. From volleyball to Spanish classes, the team keeps the residents learning and engaged. There really is something for everyone. Shelly is a problem solver. She goes above and beyond to make positive changes and listens to staff concerns. I’m so happy to know that this company exists to care for people during the most vulnerable part of their lives. Keep up the good work, Starling!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Shelly the Executive Director at Starling San Jose! She is incredibly kind, compassionate, and caring, and she always goes above and beyond to make residents and their families feel comfortable and supported. Shelly truly takes the time to listen and treats everyone with genuine respect and warmth. The community has been great for our Aunt since she’s moved in, she has enjoyed all the activities offered by the community.
