I have had the privilege of knowing Dr. Stanley Cohen for over two decades and I can confidently say that he is an exceptional psychiatrist. His patients adore him for his warm, friendly, compassionate, and understanding demeanor. Dr. Cohen has a remarkable ability to connect with his patients on a personal level, making them feel heard and valued. Not only is Dr. Cohen a highly skilled clinician, but he also possesses a wonderful sense of humor that helps put his patients at ease during their sessions. He truly goes above and beyond to provide the best care possible to those in need of mental health support. It's no surprise that Dr. Cohen has built a reputation as one of the most respected psychiatrists in our community. The highest compliment I could give is to say that if I had a family member in need, Dr. Cohen would be the first psychiatrist I'd recommend. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking high-quality psychiatric care - you will not be disappointed!

My first meeting with Dr. Cohen was so encouraging. I never felt rushed at all. I went there for a second opinion about a year ago. Dr. Cohen exhibited zero ego even though he knew I would remain with my other doctor. This had no bearing on his level of care and patience and listening. He was great. I remained with my doctor only because Dr. Cohen is too far from my home. My doctors office faded away during the Covid epidemic. This turned out to be a blessing. Because, I remembered my visit with Dr. Cohen a year prior and I set up an appointment with him. Due to the epidemic and me actually having Covid; the meeting was FaceTime. My wife is an RN. We both talked with Dr. Cohen. My wife was/is ecstatic with Dr.Cohen. She sees and hears how genuinely caring he is. Also, She sees and so do I how much respect Dr.Cohen has for me. He really respects my input and my experience. He speaks to people as an equal. Dr. Cohen does not push medications. I really value that. Dr. Cohen has a fantastic, different sense of humor. At the same time, he gets down to the bottom of things and really leaves no stones unturned in figuring what is best for the patient. The office staff is really on the ball. Always answering the phone or calling back very shortly after. Dr. Cohen himself made a call back to me instead of passing on a message to the staff. That’s very rare. I am so fortunate to be so loved and valued by my family and extended family. All of them know the name, “Dr. Cohen”. They are very grateful to him.

Dr Cohen has been a life saver for my children. We have been 11 years with Dr Cohen and his knowledge, compassion, respectful, his attention to my children needs is a plus. He is like family.

I should have listened to all of the ( ONE STAR) reviews. They are right! I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt though and boy was I so wrong! These people are completely unprofessional and lack any empathy, which is completely insane considering that they are a practice for mental health patients! Here's the truth, they do not care about your mental health. They do not care if you miss an appointment because you have the flu or were sick, which was my case. And they absolutely do not care if you run out of any of your prescription medications, even if they have nasty withdrawals and side effects. In fact, they will leave you in despair wondering how you will get your medicine refilled because they point blank DON'T CARE. They are completely irresponsible. Talking to the lady at the front desk with the long brown hair, is like talking to a robot, or Oscar the grouch! She completely lacks any kind of care for any human beings that call to make appointments. She is rude, shames you and does not give a damn that she works in a mental health office. The fact that they would put this kind of person at the front desk to greet you and answer the phone is also crazy and incompetent. She literally scares people away, is completely unfriendly and never ever smiles.. all she cares about is the money. By the way if you miss just one appointment it's a hefty $75 fee. And if you go over the normal time you were supposed to be there, you will get charged as if you were making a collect phone call by the minute! How sweet. That way when you come in next time your bill will be even more expensive than last time. The best part is they won't give you any advanced warning of this, you'll just find out when they hit you with the bill. I'm completely disappointed and disgusted with this place. They are in the mental health field and they should never ever be treating people the way that they are. In fact, they don't even treat you like you are a person, they just treat you like you're a dollar sign. If you don't give them the money they want and the tricky fees they want you to pay, then they will kick you to the curb.. medicine or not, they are completely unethical and do not care about you! I write this because I want you to be forewarned and not fooled by these people. Go somewhere else, even if it costs more it will be worth your money to go to someone who actually cares about you. Who is competent, who knows how to greet people, and has empathy for their patients, instead of trying to make them go broke in the process of simply trying to take care of their mental health. This place is bad for your mental health in a nutshell. I will never be returning here. Just like all of the other people who left one star, they are telling you the truth, so listen. Maybe the first couple of visits will be fine if your lucky, but eventually you will see their true colors and you will wish you had listened, like I wish I had listened to the other 1 star reviews. I'm glad I went though, because now I know the truth about this office and I can share a truthful review for everyone else, so that you can hopefully avoid this unethical so-called mental health practice, that Dr. Cohen runs... My suspicions are that they probably won't be there for too long, as their building is not nice, clean, or professional. Neither are the people. They should be ashamed quite frankly of how they are taking advantage of people who are vulnerable and truly need help with getting medications for the health of their mental health. Good luck!
