This review is on Dr. Rothberg, Philip Andre , he just completed a skin biopsy on my chest area. This Guy was awesome let me tell yah. I barely felt anything, and he was precise, and very quick but also personable and friendly at the same time. He actually cares and you can tell. Highly recommended!!
The RNs and surgeons and every staff is very caring, attentive, and helpful. My only concern is how they label your race. Why does this hospital only label you as Black, White, or Hispanic? My grandma went in for a triple bypass, and they labeled her as White, when she's Filipino (Asian). The Black nurse was saying it's because White people and Asians are the same built. White health and Asian health can vary, and so are our "builds". On top of that, the Asian diaspora is very diverse. This oversight is not okay. What about Polynesians and Pacific Islanders? Where do you place them? What about Southwest Asians (Indians, Pakistanis, Afghanis, etc.)? What about Native Americans? Where do you place bi-racial people (Black/Asian, Hispanic/Asian, Black/White)? This is a racist and unethical practice. And if the thought is that race doesn't have anything to do with the healthcare services received, then what is the point in labeling people anyway?
I am very grateful for the competent staff at your hospital. If not for them my wife's surgery may not have gone so well. However, your minions are atrocious. My wife was moved to her recovery room at shift change. Every employee was in a rush to leave, except Lindsay, and created a lot of pain and discomfort to my wife. To the point of pulling out her drain tube and then trying to rush to fix it, so that they could go home, and making it worse. Some of them do not belong around patients yet as they can not contain their disgust for unpleasant post op sights. I couldn't believe the behavior of some of the NAs. Again, I am extremely grateful for your competent employees but please stop throwing warm bodies in positions that they don't belong in.
I’m submitting this review on behalf of my parents. They would like to recognize Nurse Jackie and Dr. Stoffer for their exceptional care and attention. My father underwent open-heart surgery, a moment that had our entire family holding our breath. During the procedure, the doctor discovered more than expected and had to keep him under longer for his safety. Long story short — my active 72-year-old father is now recovering faster than anyone anticipated.
I had major back surgery on September the 18th, The nightmare started when I got to my room 2306 on the med-surg floor after the surgery and it took 3 hours for a nurse to come & assess me. The next day was better I had a nurse named Kelly and a tech named Tamira 7p-7a, it was a 5-day stay and the only other nurses that I had that cared were Savannah and Steven, both 7a-7p. My stay was from 9/18-9/23. A nurse named Danielle, was the nurse from hell who left me with no pain meds, an infiltrated IV & the alert pad for fall risk & was removed by a tech & thrown on a chair after she turned the alarm off & not helping me (I have pictures). Danielle and this crew will be reported. There's much more to my 5 days of hell, but not enough room here. I'll save all that for reporting to the correct authorities. St Vincents used to be the best in Jacksonville, now it's the worst & I will NEVER stay or go there again!
