St Catherine's Catholic Church

We had both my grandparents’ funeral services here a couple years apart, and the difference in care and hospitality was night and day. When we had my grandmother’s service a couple months ago, the church failed to print enough pamphlets for all attendees (we were told by the funeral home the church was responsible for the pamphlets), the priest was pushy and seemed like they were rushing for time (we were on schedule) and then he asked the speaker to cut the eulogy short. My uncle told the priest right before the service that his eulogy was 11 minutes, and the priest’s response was rude and aggressive, saying that “I don’t know who told you that was okay, but it needs to be six minutes or less”. We understand that they have a schedule they need to maintain, but it felt completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and honestly crazy to say to a family in grieving. Thank god the rest of us aren’t Catholic, because working with them was hell.

Oh, it's a good place to be at most anytime give it a try You'll like it. And it will lift your spirits. Ps, tell them I sent you. I like it when father chuckles. He has a good sense of humor. And a pretty good sermon. If I say so myself!
