Our neighbors paid this company in full before starting the build before I bought this house over a year ago. The pool still isn’t finished! The construction is slow, messy and I’m tired of looking at what they’re doing to these people. Taking advantage of senior citizens is not right. That’s exactly what they’ve done and they need to step up and fix this problem!
STOP! These guys are scam artists! They got my security deposit and took a year and a half to start a job that they said would start in 6-8 months. When they started it all they did was dig a hole and left all the dirt mounds in my yard and never came back. My back yard is inaccessible. The hole is full of rain water and the walls are caving in. After they got my check they disappeared and haven’t returned my calls in months. I had to file complaints with the county and state and a hire an attorney.
Terrible experience from beginning to end. Took nearly eight months from breaking ground to complete the project. Dug the hole, installed the pump, and disappeared for 3-4 months, leaving me to pay the extra electric bill. Finally came and installed the rebar- disappeared again. They installed an obsolete single speed motor, which failed within a month. Wanted to shut my new pool down and ship the motor to the manufacturer, within three weeks of completion! Bought a variable speed from Pinch A Penny, and they installed the same day. Then the pool leaked. They came out twice. After the warranty expired, still leaking. Went to Pinch A Penny, they sold me correct compound to seal the leak. Fixed it 2 months ago. Holding perfectly. The office doesn’t answer the phone, and when they do, they fob you off with ridiculous excuses. Only reliable method of communication was email, which is totally unacceptable. Do NOT RECOMMEND.
We signed a contract in March of 2019 with St. Augustine Pools, after many months of excuses about why they had not started building our pool, they finally broke ground at the beginning of August, only to hit electrical and plumbing on the first dig, causing another weeks delay. It has been a frustrating effort to get them to show up consistently and to communicate what is going on. It is now the end of 2019 and they have not finished the job. The pool looks like a swamp, the hot tub does not have water in it, the lights are not installed but are attached to wires and lying on the pool deck. Throughout the process the workmanship has been questionable and the workers unprofessional. There was little respect for our property, if any, and the damage caused by them to the surrounding yard is significant and was unnecessary.
This was the worst experience of my life, they started our pool in December. It has been one screw up after another. They left the piles of dirt for about three weeks and get it out of my yard their truck broke down in my yard, they ran over our arrogation well, try to fix it with the wrong kind of glue and had actually dropped the pump to the bottom. They were busted our main water line twice. They finally got some things going two and a half months later I got a deck on that look like my five-year-old grandson poured and gets worse weekly. As May 7th they finally found a pastor company to come put the plaster on the inside of the pool, which does not look good and is very Lumpy. The light is oozing rust and the skimmer looks like it's been in for 5 years. And the Magical thumbs up for the guy finishing to plaster starts to fill our pool which is now ran for 36 hours only to turn it off to realize it is actually losing water somewhere and range somewhere in my yard. Going to the contractors board next and seeing about what can be done. DON'T CALL THEM!!!
