St. Augustine Oral & Facial Surgical Center

Please be warned this doctor is doing his own anesthesia!! This is somehow legal but VERY dangerous. This oral surgeon is taking young patients back into his “ surgery room “ in his office where there are NO other licensed medical professionals other than himself, not even a Nurse, and he’s doing everything like a one man show! I’m sure this saves him lots of money not having to pay an anesthesiologist or even a ARNP. But, this is not safe in my humble opinion especially when he is administering a paralytic anesthetic IV medication such as Diprovan. So, ask yourself this critical question; “ how safe can this be for ONE person to be in control of giving a paralytic anesthetic IV ( allegedly monitoring the patient closely for important things like if the patient is breathing!!) while ALSO performing a deeply invasive oral surgical procedure? Answer: He can’t. Although he says he can and apparently the law allows it but, please be warned people, please educate yourself, please be safe.

Absolutely loved the care I received as a patient here! They made me feel comfortable when I was incredibly nervous and even my husband had a great experience here as well! Any Oral surgery I need I will definitely come back here:)

Absolutely wonderful experience with Oral and Facial Surgery. Dr. Johnson and the entire staff were so incredibly kind, organized, and informative. Dr. Johnson is an outstanding surgeon and the staff are very knowledgeable. The office is clean and everyone was friendly and approachable. They explained every aspect of the surgery so clearly. Dr. Johnson also followed up post surgery to check up. We are so thankful for the incredible care our son received. Highly recommend.

Everything and everyone was amazing. From check in to check out, they were very nice. Dr. Johnson was very thorough with his exam. And explained everything in a language I understood, without making me feel stupid. I’m happy to say I will definitely be returning to his care.
