Where do I begin, first the food/drinks were absolutely so high quality and delicious/fresh. I ordered the 3 egg omelette and an iced matcha latte with lavender syrup 10/10 dining experience. They offer outside eating and we sat outside and ate, it was so peaceful and satisfying. Literally amazing, especially if you have food allergies. You have to try the gluten free & vegan chocolate cake, it will not disappoint 🩷
The coffee is incredibly inconsistent. One visit it can be decent, and the next it tastes completely different, which is frustrating when you’re paying specialty-coffee prices. The quality really needs to be more consistent. Parking is also a major hassle. It’s difficult to find a spot, and getting in and out of the area can be more trouble than it’s worth. Overall, there are better coffee options that offer a more reliable experience and much less frustration.
Was looking for a coffee late Thursday evening and found thus place. It was very warm and cozy atmosphere. I only had the machiato which was really good. The food on the menu was not really what I was in tge mood for. I will return another day
⭐️⭐️ 2-Star Review – Southern Grounds & Co (Jacksonville, FL) We stopped here while traveling and were excited to try it, especially since they promote a “farm-to-cup” concept. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the expectation at all. Once you actually get your coffee, it’s clear they’re using standard store-bought syrups (Monin, to be exact), which felt misleading given how they present themselves. It just didn’t match the quality we were expecting. The food was even more disappointing. I ordered a gluten-free breakfast sandwich and asked for the bread to be toasted. What I got was barely toasted white bread—only one side had any color at all. The sandwich itself was not good: the egg wasn’t warm, the Kraft single was still cold, and overall it just felt thrown together. For over $9 (plus an upcharge for gluten-free), it was definitely not worth it. To make matters worse, the cashier was rude and dismissive, which really set the tone for the entire visit. Overall, this was a letdown. Between the misleading “farm-to-cup” messaging, poor food quality, and unfriendly service, I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back. There are definitely better spots to stop for coffee and breakfast.
5 stars all around!! Amazing food, great service, very friendly staff and really fun atmosphere. Varieties of Coffee with fresh ground beans and food quality was excellent. Highly recommend, a much richer experience than usual starbucks. Ample parking around and family friendly environment.
