Beware, Southern Green - Skipping Services and Still Running Monthly Payment • In early April 2026, we noticed our yard wasnt looking as nice as some of the other yards in Deerwood that are also serviced by Southern Green. • We were still being charged monthly by Southern Green, so I assumed they were coming each month and the lawn was just struggling to come back due to the tough winter - but I was a wrong to assume that. • Mid- April, I made a call to find out when we were last serviced and learned that, despite being charged, we were not actually serviced in March. • Oddly enough, this same thing had happened to us last year and Southern Green assured us it was due to an issue with switching to a new system. • Since this was now the second year they skipped us in such a crucial month of growth, I requested to speak with Brad (the owner) and asked that he come look at how bad our yard had gotten. • After multiple calls and messages, Brad finally returned my call and agreed to come out. Brad came to look - agreed that our yard looks terrible (his words) - and assured me that they would make it right. They scheduled us and came out the following week on April 21st. • That was the last time I saw them and when I called this week, to find out when we were next scheduled for, would you believe she told me JUNE 27th?!? So, despite being charged, we were skipped in both March and May - then weren’t going to be serviced in June until the 27th Ive called four times since then to speak to a manager and find out whats going on - only for my calls not to be returned. Hoping they make it right so that we don't have to go through the rigamarole of holding them responsible for the cost of the sod we will likely need to fix this mess.
Andy R. treated our lawn and provided a detailed description of the service he provided and follow up action items we need to do to keep our lawn looking great. Southern Green has always provided “top shelf” lawn care services.
Richard is amazing. He always lets me know when he is here prior to service and lets me know what he is going to do. I appreciate this. The company itself is also always on top of things as well if I ever had concerns and questions. They will also give you fair pricing on the size of your yard. Been with then over 10 years now. 07/09/26. Still using this company 15÷ years. Everyone is great. Andy, Ray, Colby, Josh, Kevin.
Andy from Southern Green arrived promptly and was very easy to work with. He surveyed my grass areas with me and made some very helpful comments and suggestions. I appreciate that he was pro and informative. Kudos to Andy.
After reading the reviews I am not surprised. Having had issues with Southern Green for over a year and continued their service, which I should have let them go months after they began. Like I have read their chemicals are trash. They also do not follow up with you after you have tried numerous times to reach them. No calls back no emails, nothing. My yard is almost completely dead because of chinch bugs, something that they were supposed to have been spraying for and again their chemicals are horrible, they must be using water. Got nowhere after talking to Brad and unfortunately, I will be going ahead with legal actions.I strongly recommend not using this company. Please read Other reviews that are listed. Here are some pictures of my lawn that have died because of chinch bugs and not being properly sprayed.
