Dr. Rak is great. She is up to date on preventative measures, listens to my concerns and takes me seriously. I’ve enjoyed having her as my primary care doctor. She’s efficient and professional. She tells it to me exactly as it is, and has consistent boundaries. I never sit for hours in the waiting room and the staff is always pleasant.
Have heard that Dr. Rak does not validate the patient’s emotional experience and has been pushy in regards to obtaining consent for medical procedures.
Recently had my annual done with Alexandra Shoemaker for the first time (PA in the same office as Dr Rak) and it was an excellent experience overall. Wait time was not long and she’s very in tune with truly getting to know her patients. She’s provides a very personable experience, takes the time to get to know you, listen to you and makes sure you’re comfortable. Will definitely be making any future appts with her moving forward!
I started seeing Dr. Rak in September for a health concern and have been pleased with the care I have received so far. Dr. Rak has been kind and friendly at each of my visits. Most importantly, she is very thorough and takes my concerns seriously. I also want to mention that Miriam (one of the schedulers) is the absolute sweetest and so helpful.
I have been a patient of Dr. Rak’s for almost 7 years now. As a type 2 diabetic, she has always been very up front and honest with me about my labs, and cuts to the chase when I try to make excuses for not following through with my goals. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a family physician or just a women’s heath physician.
