I tried all of the oysters. The grilled a good, a little overcooked for me. The raw half she'll are pretty good, my first dozen were a little close to room temp when served, but tasty. The service is fantastic. The server recommended the Godzilla raw oysters. They were fantastic. A new and interesting take on oysters. The seaweed adds a crunch and texture that is surprisingly refreshing. Good monitor and other cocktails. I will definitely recommend and return. Loved the live music and location!
Food and drinks were good, but the server not so much. I don’t recall her name but I don’t believe she told us. She just seemed like she was in a rush. Our order consisted of 1/2 dozen oysters Rockefeller, Caesar salad, shrimp quesadilla and shrimp and grits. The food took a while to arrive, but was hot and fresh once it was brought to us. We’re in the area quite a bit and would visit again. It’s a pretty casual spot in case you’re wondering.
Arrived right before closing…Oyster Po Boy, Bacon Wrapped Scallops and because they were out of cheese grits, the chef offered a cup of Gumbo. Oysters were lightly dredged and juicy on a nice roll, chopped lettuce and a perfect sauce..super good. Bacon Scallops were fresh with salty bacon and arrived on a grilled pineapple chunk…very nice visual and tasty combo. So glad they were out of grits as the rich gumbo was great with the sandwich. Key lime pie rounded out a perfect southern meal. Aperol Marg was yummy too. So nice to have home made food in a super casual setting.
The good, the waiter was wonderful, he tried his best to serve and keep up even with the limitations he had. The bam bam shrimp were good and the Cajun shrimp pasta were good, not spicy, but good. The bad, the host mentioned she hoped our table wasn’t going to come check in out loud as someone came to check in from our party and she started to apologize after realizing we were the table she had just made a comment about. The food took a while to come out. The drinks took a while to come out. Some food items were ok, not great. It’s not bad if you’re in the area, but expect delays when busy.
Wow! Amazing huge Louisiana oysters. Peel and eat shrimp and gator bites were yummy as well! Kristen was an excellent server. Very attentive and super nice! We will definitely be back for their Thursday Oyster deal. ♥️♥️♥️
