Simone's Wood Fired Craft Kitchen is Fresh. We've made numerous visits and every dining experience has been consistently excellent. The food quality is outstanding and the staff does an amazing job. The wood fired ovens look amazing and lend to the ambiance & vibe your in a top tier eatery. Thus far we've tried pizzas, meat balls, lasagna, salads, specialty sandwiches, and most importantly... the amazing bread pudding. If your in the area do yourself a favor and give them a try. You won't be disappointed.
We love coming here for family dinners. The food here is phenomenal- our favorites are the lasagna, the “POLLO AL MARSALA” (Chicken Marsala- over pasta), and the “POLLO E CAMPANELLI ALLA PESTO”. The appetizer bread is good too! The seating is limited, and it can get loud, but it’s worth it.
We called ahead for 3 at 6:30 but we weren’t able to be seated until about 7:15, everything after the wait was nothing short of amazing! Our waitress was so friendly and provided excellent recommendations. We started with the giant meatball appetizer and their delicious bread. I had the short rib as my entree and my husband had the Chicken Parmesan. Usually I would not want “fried chicken with red sauce” but everything tasted amazing. Their house made noodles stand out in addition to all other pairings on the plate complimenting each other. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Simone’s Wood Fired Craft Kitchen. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a scratch Italian kitchen in St. Augustine.
First off. Their famous pink pinot was outstanding! The artesan bread basket was a plus with our lasagna baked in a cast-iron skillet. Delectable at best, but the hot luscious bread pudding was indescribable. Our waitress (Rosie) I recommend highly as well. The hostess was awesome and very helpful (Jenny who subs at the bar.) Just delightful in every way, which left me in a VERY happy place! 😋 "I'll be back!" Thank You, Chef-
What a nice surprise. Had lunch there today, and the food was outstanding. The side salads, choice of 3 different ones, were huge, fresh, and had a variety of ingredients. My main event was Lasagna which was served in a sizzling cast iron skillet. The portion could have been split, but my wife had Linguine with meatballs and marinara sauce. The meatballs (2) were the size of tennis balls, cooked and seasoned to perfection and on a bed of pasta. Last but not least, the desert was White Chocolat Bread Pudding, I'll just say it was SMOOTH. Tomorrow, round two when we polish off the leftovers.
