  We just moved in on 07/01 officially and sadly we are disappointed with the way the house was given to us. We were told the house would be move in ready and it is not. When you have a rental whether it's a house/townhouse/apartment after EVERY tenant, especially when the previous tenant lived there for more than 1yr, the walls should be washed, lawn should be freshly mowed, screws/picture hangers/holes patched up, EVERYTHING should be professionally cleaned, floors should be free of peeling and missing pieces and/or replaced, and ALL walls should be painted 1 neutral color. None of the above was done by official move in of 7/01! The house is 2 different colors (neutral beige and dark brown in the livingroom and smaller spare bedroom), there are parts of flooring ripped and peeling up, there are holes in every single room of the house from where the previous tenant had hung things up on the wall that were not patched up, there are screws and metal picture frame holders still in the walls in the spare bedrooms and master bedroom, the closet in the smaller bedroom has black marks all over the wall along with holes and screws drilled into the walls, and the lawn has not been cut in 3 weeks. When we asked if these things would be taken care of we were first told they would be taken care of then on 06/30 we were told no because they are a small family owned business and couldn't afford to do all that. The thing is we would have walked away and asked for our deposit and first months rent back, but like most people who are moving we are in a time crunch and had to bite the bullet and still move in. We were told by the rep she was going to send us an updated move in paper with all of our concerns by 7/01 and here we are 7/02 with nothing but an online survey I was sent. We understand the home is in a great neighborhood and is priced very well, but to hand over keys saying it's ready and it's not is just wrong!
