We had such a wonderful experience at Sheehan Homestead! I brought my 5-year-old son for a homeschool learning experience, and he genuinely had the time of his life. Ann-Marie taught him about the animals, their care, and the work and responsibility that goes into living on a farm. He got to milk a goat, spend time with the goats, meet the rabbits, chickens and ducks, and even feed Wilbur the pig some eggs! What I loved most was how hands-on everything was. He wasn't just standing back and watching—he was able to experience farm life for himself. By the end of the morning he was covered in hay and dirt, had kicked off a boot while hanging out with the goats, and eventually ended up fully clothed playing in the muddy water. He couldn't have been happier. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, patient and wonderful with him. This is exactly the kind of real-world, hands-on learning I want him to experience through homeschooling. He learned a ton without it ever feeling like a "lesson." We are so thankful they opened their homestead to us and gave him a day he'll remember. We will absolutely be back!
They are the absolute best! Whether you want a mobile petting zoo for your kids birthday or plan a session of goat yoga with your friends/family, Sheehan Homestead,(Critters on Call) go above and beyond. Mike and Ann Marie the owners are amazing and their workers are so nice and work hard to make everything run smoothly and create a memorable experience! 10 out of 10 recommend! 👍
We had such a great experience! They brought bunnies to my daughter’s birthday party (which was on Easter), and it honestly couldn’t have been more perfect for the theme. The bunnies were a huge hit, everyone loved them! All the kids (and adults) had so much fun holding them, petting them, and just interacting with them. Also, Michael was awesome to work with! He was super flexible and worked with the exact timing I needed, which I really appreciated. Overall, everything was easy and stress free, and I’d definitely recommend them for any party or event! The animals make any event feel special and memorable.
What an amazing experience! I went with my three daughters for a homeschool class and Ann-Marie was so sweet and educational! Her and her husband Michael are so welcoming. She was so patient with my girls and they loved learning about the animals, holding and petting them. Their favorite animal were the rabbits and goats. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend their class/petting farm.
I cannot recommend Sheehan Homestead strongly enough. Mike and Ann Marie were so easy to work with and very accommodating. They provided everything we needed to hatch chicks in my classroom, and Ann Marie provided an amazing presentation for our first grade students. Our students received a top-notch, hands-on educational experience thanks to the Sheehans!
