Sharkey's Cuts For Kids

It pains me to do this. We’ve been coming to Sharkey’s off and on since they opened. The staff has always been amazing and my kids have had nothing but amazing cuts!! The stylists are not the problem. The problem lies entirely with the appointment/walk in system they use! Whatever process they’re using needs to change. I had 2 appointments at 10:00 - a boys cut for 20 minutes and a girls cut for 30 minutes. My boy didn’t get started until 10:15ish and now it’s almost 11 and my daughter’s cut is just now starting! If I have a 10 o’clock appointment and I walk in at 9:55, why am I waiting until almost 11?? And this isn’t a one time thing, this is an ON GOING issue with Sharkey’s. Don’t take walk ins! Don’t take late appointments! Don’t say a boys cut takes 20 minutes if it’s going to take 40! (And for the love of everything holy, don’t make your stylists stick to a 20 minute time block if they need more time to do the amazing work they do!) It’s 2026, how are we not doing better about this?? You’re charging me $30 per cut to sit in the most overstimulating environment this side of a hands on children’s museum for an hour past my appointment time. There HAS to be a better answer than this.

Absolutely huge shout out to this place and specifically Demarcus (I'm sorry if i'm spelling your name wrong!). I walked in last night, fairly late, and he was more than happy to cut my two boys' hair and he did a phenomenal job. He was super meticulous with both boys and the end results were beyond our expectations. We are extremely happy with the way our boys' hair turned out. Thank you for staying later than you should have! We will definitely be back.

Our daughter gave herself a DIY haircut, and Hannah worked her magic to turn it into the perfect bob. She was incredibly patient and kind throughout the entire process, making our daughter feel comfortable and special. It was such a great experience and Hannah is the best!!
